All i can say is we are followed about by some absolutely INCREDIBLE people!!
I swear my life is like a book, absolutely surreal!!

We were travelling along the m5 with animals in tow at quite some speed when the front right tire blew out and it was hell of a bang!
It certainly shook us up something chronic and although it seems minor, this could have been incredibly dangerous at such a speed.
We are very, very lucky.
The policeman who came out was incredible and shut the motorway to get us off of it, he helped us so we were safe and gave us two hours to sort it out.
Just by chance, the man below with his own business turns into the services and we asked him for help.
He very happily helped!

We are so incredibly lucky.

We're on the road back now ❤️❤️
A HUGE thankyou to GL mobile tires who operates in Gloucester and if you ever need someone to help you, he is probably one of the kindest and professional chaps I've met putting himself out by using a tire he needed for a job tomorrow morning!!

We're on the road on the way back to the rescue and our tire has burst coming along the motorway!!!!
We're both ok but very shaken up as it was hell of a bang and could have been really bad.
We need something to change the tire.
We've got a spare!
Is there anyone near that can help us asap please as we're on a very dangerous part of the road!!

8 years ago we warned about an animal rescue who at the time was running in Ipswich, we had an animal from him in not a good way at all that he had since 2015.
Finally, he's got caught out and prosecuted for 38 counts of animal welfare offences!!!

This beautiful little chap is also looking for a new human of his own that will cherish him and appreciate him.
He was found on a road without a car in the world baskking on a rock during the middle of summer!
This was quite a while back now and unfortunately his owner never came forward for him despite actively looking for them.
Therfore, he's looking for a person to call his own who has time to appreciate him.
He's a very lovely boy and appears to be only young!
He's in fantastic health and is a keen eater.

Two corns that are now ready for their new humans after quarantine!
We do have setups that can go with them each, they cannot be housed together.
Their owner loved them very much so they have been cared for very well and they are very good eaters on defrosted!

We have quite a variety of reps at the moment including torts, crested geckos and snakes.
Don't be afraid to pop us a message, a permanent good place is most important to us.

I'm not sure if I've posted about this little chap yet, but i just have to share him with you all!
As you can hear, i really do love him! 😆

Damian knows two things specifically about me... i absolutely love a toad and i also have a soft spot for disabled critters that need help!
When he was at work surveying a farm, the chap who owned it happened to mention their son finding a one eyed injured toad that morning.
He mentioned how i love toads and off the chap went to go show him where he had put him!
He was still there in the same spot!

Damian came back with a box, grinning ear to ear whilst saying he had something i was going to love.
Sure enough, i did really love him and here he is.
Maybe a little too loved as I've fed him a little too much and he's a little round... but Toby (also called toe bean 😆) is now a permanent addition to our household as he can never be returned to the wild.
He's one of my favourite creatures here at the moment.

✨️FOSTER NEEDED FOR BOBBY✨️

Bobby really is a one of a kind dog who is a little... hmm... derpy... 😆
Bobby has had quite a significant head truama so he's a very special little puppy now.
He may always be like this, he skips on walks and canters like a little pony when excited!
He is a little nervous of men, but he comes round very quickly to them.
He is NOT fear reactive, he just cowers.
He needs an immediate foster who can give him love and attention frequently and can work with him.
Bobby cannot be around cats but is good with other dogs, he will need a similar size one that is equally as playful as Bobby doesn't really understand boundaries or warnings from other dogs due to his disabilities.
He's fantastic around kiddos but no young children please as he's neurological and can get worried easily.

A foster with potential to adopt would be even better but isn't a must!
As you can see, his favourite game is chasing his lead!

Our Story

Hello and welcome to Cornpop Critter Rescue. We are a completely non profit rescue that is run by myself and my Grandmother on a large bit of land. Animals have always been our passion and their welfare is one of our biggest concerns. We absolutely adore them no matter what they are and try to help as many as we can...big or small! We help a variety of animals including all forms of wild animals and most species of domesticated animals, we are very knowledgeable with most species. I personally have rescued and rehabilitated both domesticated and wild animals for the past ten years with much success. With wild animals we aim to release but if this is not possible, we will keep them here permanently at the rescue providing it is ethical and fair to the animal in question. We are currently not open to the public due to Covid 19 unless otherwise stated. Should you need advice about an animal whether that be to do with housing or care, please feel free to pop us a message and we will try our very best to advise. Should we not know the answer, we can direct you to someone who does! Should you need us to help with an animal, please pop us a message with all information on said animal(s). If it is urgent, please contact us directly on the number provided on the page. We are completely non judgmental no matter the situation and everything remains confidential. Please note that all animals up for rehoming have a homing fee to cover all aspects of care including veterinary fees. We will also need to see where the animal will be living and what accomodation he/she will be living in. All animals are quarantined for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to rehoming as a standard procedure to prevent the spread of illness and disease. Thankyou for reading and king regards, Lauren.
