Brambles Pet and Wildlife

A family business whose ethos is the health and well-being of wildlife

We set up Brambles Pet and Wildlife in the summer of 2017 as we saw a need to produce commercial wildlife foods that did not contain any harmful ingredients. Our research led to a wet and dry hedgehog food, & more recently a semi-moist food, that does not contain any ingredients that can contribute t

o Metabolic Bone Disease such as mealworms, sunflower hearts and peanuts. We have also kept refined sugar and other high sugar foods such as dried fruits and honey out of our hedgehog and Swan and Duck foods. Too much sugar can cause dental issues and obesity with associated cardiovascular problems. In addition, we have kept fat levels within recommended levels throughout our range of products. We support Wildlife Rescues as much as we can by promoting Facebook Giveaways and by donations. Some of these Giveaways have been in collaboration with other like-minded companies that offer donations such as replacement milk, bird feed, and we aim to continue to do these.

🎆 As the fireworks return this New Year’s Eve 🎆

Please spare a thought for our prickly friends. Hedgehogs often curl up in piles of leaves, garden debris or bonfire stacks to keep warm - spots that can quickly become dangerous.

Before lighting any fires, always check carefully for hidden hedgehogs, or better still, move bonfires just before lighting. Keeping gardens safe and quiet where possible can make a huge difference during loud celebrations.

A little care goes a long way in protecting wildlife this winter 💚💜🦔

Before you strike that match this Bonfire Night, give your bonfire a good check for sleepy hedgehogs hiding in the leaves 🍂🦔

Hedgehogs love a cosy pile of logs and autumn leaves, so always:
• Build your bonfire on the day you plan to light it
• Gently lift the base with a broom to be sure no wildlife is tucked inside
• Keep a little space in your garden for natural leaf piles instead
