Definitely something to come and watch at the show this year!

Let me know how many people you've seen over the last couple of days walking their dog in this heat and in full sun on the pavement or tied to a chair whilst their owners are having a coffee.

Make sure you come along, it'll be a great day.

Make sure you come along, it'll be a great day.

Don't forget the tickets are on sale for this year's show: https://checkout.square.site/merchant/MLCQRG6K899TB/checkout/ELCSYPY7M5PWUVLCI4RC4CFX

To book your dog into one of many classes we have, click this link: https://2k9petservices.weebly.com/k9-world.html
Please note: you will need a show entry ticket to take part in the fun dog show.

Within the show, there are stands where you can help raise money for the 2 charities we have chosen, MND Association and Acres Way Boarding and Rehoming Centre. Please do give what you can as both do amazing work in their respective fields.

There are also Have a Go's, many stalls to wander around and purchase items for you & your dog, food stands and demonstrations.

This year's Fun Dog Show has more opportunities for you to get a trophy:
- Winning 1st, you go through to Best In Show.
- Coming 2nd, you go through to Reserve Best In Show.
- After both Judge's Choice classes have ended, there is another free class to enter and the winner of that gets a trophy (T&Cs apply). Coming 1st or 2nd in this class does not put you into BiS or RBiS.
- All classes are placed from 1st to 6th (each getting a rosette), with winners receiving a award.

It's a great day out for your dog!

The worst part of being a dog walker is when you drop the dogs back to their home, as you never know if it's going to be the last time.

Sadly, for one of the dogs I walk, last Friday was the last time I saw her.

For 2.5 years, I got to enjoy the company of a wonderful Shep. She was big, furry and tried to get all the dogs to play with her. None ever did, until I started walking a Bulldog. They really enjoyed playing with each other, the noises they both made were so funny.

I was due to walk M on Wed, but she had been told by the vet to be on limited exercise, and earlier today I got a message to say that she has now crossed the bridge.

I will really miss M, as anyone knows I love Sheps, and she was a truly lovely dog. It has been an absolute pleasure to care for you and my heart goes out to her family.

To every dog walker, make sure you give each of the dogs you walk a hug and some affection before you drop them back and close the front door.

🚨🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OWNERS🚨🚨

As we head into warmer weather, Adders, the UK's only venomous snake, are starting to wake up.

This week, I have seen more Adders than I have in the last 7-8 years.

They will be in grassy fields, along single tracks/walkways bathing in the sunlight.
Please be careful when walking your dogs, especially if they are off lead and like to explore in amongst the undergrowth.

If your dog does get bitten, you must take them to a vet immediately. It's best to carry the dog back to your vehicle and into the vets, instead of letting them walk.

Signs to look for if you think your dog has been bitten:
- Rapid swelling of the face/muzzle or legs,
- Puncture wounds on the face or lower legs,
- A sudden jump in any direction with a yelp,
- Pain, lethargy, drooling, breathing problems that are not your dogs usual behaviour.

Do NOT try and do any of the following:
- Suck out the venom,
- Apply a tourniquet,
- Cut the wound,
- Attempt to catch/kill the snake (they are a protected species).

What annoys me the most is when owners allow their dogs to poo and dont pick it up.

I offered her a bag and her reply was "It's ok, I'll pick it up on the way round". She was about 10metres away from a bin.

Funnily enough, she's no longer in this rectangular field (the big one on Elm Road, Shoebury) and the poo wasnt picked up as she left by a different exit.

This dog was spotted on my cctv this morning about 11:25am walking past my house.

Does anyone know who it belongs to?

Over the past few weeks, I've had several enquiries to help owners out with their pets (which is always great to have!).

So, after getting the necessary insurance cover and paperwork done, I can now add another service that I currently provide.

If you would like to book your pets in for a walk, please get in contact with me on 07807 854766 for a free Meet & Greet to discuss your individual requirements.
