There’s something really lovely about a product that’s both beautiful and genuinely useful.
That’s exactly what this little salve is.

My Rosehip & Calendula Salve for dogs is packed with soothing plant based ingredients, and it’s one of those products that multitasks, dry noses, scratchy skin, irritated paws, little knocks and bumps. It’s like a handbag essential, but for dog people, along with poo bags!!

I couldn't decide what photo to share for but settled on this one as it shows our 3 family dogs at their very best.

Sadly we lost spaniels Ollie and Ziggy within 6 months of each other several years ago, but without them there would have been no Dog and I.

It is a long story, but everything stemmed from me doing a 1 day, dog grooming taster day in 2013 because my home hack jobs on them looked awful 🫣 Fast forward and I trained Level 2 and 3 as a dog groomer, started a business doing that in 2014, then started the dog products business in 2016, ( and from that The Soap Coach in 2019 - told you it was a long story 🤣)

All because of those two mad spanners 🤣 I still miss them so much, over 5 years later.

I have made many dog business friends along the way too, including the lovely Kerry of Fur & Fables who created this day and who has been responsible for much of my product photography too. 🥰

7 MONTHS INTO CHANGING MY BUSINESS MODEL..
and this is what it is looking like. I feel that I don't pop up on socials too much in this business any more and if I am honest, I am engineering that, it drags me down, and is time consuming but I spotted these seamless carousels and loved them so here goes!
I got to play on Canva and give an update at the same time.

I micro-niched into white label balms and salves for dogs back in January and I am loving it! Seeing all the different label designs is amazing and inspiring (sadly I can't share them all publicly but they are 👌)

July has been my busiest month so far and we are not finished yet so thank you to everyone who has entrusted me with their brand.

Loved helping Doghouse replenish their nose and paw balm stock but also add in a shiny new Soothing Balm to their range.
Infused with a power packed blend of herbs the new addition is perfect for cuts, scratches, bites, stings and more.

Doghouse can be found in Bradford Upon Avon as well as Clifton Bristol, and they have a ton of canine goodies at both locations as well dog grooming at both locations AND a DIY dog wash at Clifton. Willow is currently pretty stinky so it is a pity we are not closer tbh 😕

I recently had the pleasure of working with the lovely at peeps at Trumbles , their zone of genius is great dog food, do check them out, as well as fab dog food they have a HUGE selection of the most amazing looking, natural dog treats!

Making nose and paw balms? I can't be sure but probably not their zone of genius!! (Although it isn't always the skills we lack but the time).

There’s a lot to be said for playing to your strengths though, and preserving your precious time and energy for the things that you do better than anyone else can and I was happy to take the strain for Trumbles where this shiny new product for their shop was concerned. When we work together the magic happens.
I loved working on these balms for Dee at

She creates the most amazing artwork ( I have one of her drawings hanging in my hallway of myself and my 3 dogs. We are down to 1 dog now so it is extra special.)

Dee provided the image for this new product for her shop and chose the super luxurious rosehip and calendula balm ( a great all rounder, moisturising and soothing with freshly infused calendula oil)

The whole thing was made a reality with labels created and printed by Dave and Claire at . Stickerdrops have designed and created all my labels for 9 years now and as a small local business I can even walk down to collect them. Win win all round.
