Saddle up on a well-schooled cob and explore open moorlands, winding forest trails, and scenic valleys. Feel the thrill of long canters across heather-covered hills, with panoramic views that take your breath away. Along the way, spot herds of โ€œwildโ€ Welsh Mountain ponies grazing in their natural habitat.

Rides are tailored to suit all levels, with shorter routes available for novice riders and small groups led by knowledgeable guides. Routes each day are flexible with lots of choices due to the many paths, bridle paths and tracks so distances can be altered to suit abilities if required.

This is a centre-based ride using comfortable B&Bs for accommodation and eating in local inns for dinner.

Unicorn Trails was created to hand pick a selection of the best horse riding holidays around the world, chosen by expert Travel Advisors who are on hand to help select your next adventure! Unicorn Trails was started in 1998 by Wendy Hofstee, a veterinary surgeon, traveller and horse lover. In her travels around the world, first with a backpack and later on horseback, she met many wonderful and knowledgeable horse men and women. They all had some unique knowledge of horses to share and incredible places to ride in. However there was also ignorance about horse care and poverty resulting in neglect of horses and bad riding holidays. There was obviously a need to select the best and share this knowledge more widely.
