All animals that come in will be fully vet checked, flead and wormed, neutered and microchipped, also every animal will be fully assesed in a home environmen

All potential adopters will be asked to complete a pre adoption form in order to establish suitability, and a minimum adoption fee applies, We are not for profit and all adoption fees are a contribution towards the running costs of the rescue. We are solely run by volunteers so please be patient while waiting for a response. All our animals leave with full rescue back up and support for life, in the event that you cannot keep one of our animals, we will take them back to safeguard their future. We do not charge owners to relinquish animals but ask for a donation towards their care while they are with us, this is not mandatory, but we rely on the good will of animals lovers to be fair and contribute. Everything in rescue costs money except our time which we gladly give, food, transport, assessments, vet bills, as well as day to day running costs all add up and that is why we rely on adoption fees and donations to continue, we have no regular funding, and no paid staff.

Today we woke to very sad news that Dusty’s owner Les sadly passed away last night 💔

He dedicated his life to providing comfort to those in hospices with his beloved therapy Bernese mountain dogs, and it’s an honour and a privilege to be able to care for Dusty until he is ready to join his dad.

Our thoughts are with Les’s family at this difficult time, we hope we can provide some comfort to them knowing that Dusty is safe and loved and will remain so with us ❤️‍🩹

Hi Sarah and team
I know you’ve had a difficult and draining few weeks with people letting you down, so I thought I’d send a little ‘Hiya hug’ from one of your grateful former guests.
Leroy (was Fuji) has presented us with a few unexpected challenges since he came to live with us - and yes, there have been some frustrations at times. But I am so thankful every single day that we found each other. He rescued us as much as we did him - we utterly adore him.
He lives up to his name - he is ‘the king’ in our household, and every week I see progress and that’s a joy. So thank you.
Second pic is with his girlfriend Pixel. They’re v cute together but v vocal so I’m rather glad she’s my friend’s pooch and not a permanent fixture!

Hi, Sara - it’s with great sadness that we have to let you know today we had to say goodbye to our darling Florence (who was Sandy). We had her for 10 wonderful years and she was a super friend. She coped with gradually going blind - we considered having her eyes removed but felt she was too old - yet although they hurt her if she bumped into anything she navigated her way round so well. She was arthritic and the wonder drug Loxicom did its job, then a couple of weeks ago she had a stroke and today I knew the time was right. We’re so grateful to have had her - she gave us immense joy.

Quick update on winnie, she's been doing great, she no longer gets spooked by men who pass her in the street and has worked out how to get other dogs to play.
Please enjoy the attached video of her recently realising she's allowed to play and get muddy and getting the zoomies as a result.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, you raised £1381.53 which is going to help us massively with providing necessities for both the sanctuary dogs and the dogs that come in with absolutely nothing - a warm bed and a blanket really makes a difference ###
