I used to feel guilty if I didnโt walk dogs every single day if I felt shattered. Until I learnt from a very knowledgeable behaviourist - as well as from courses Iโve taken - that dogs need to learn to decompress. And how it is important for them to be taught this as puppies. Dogs look to US for guidance and rely on us for direction. We need to teach them to feel calm. To have downtime, amongst all the exercise and play. So we donโt walk every single day. As well as weekend adventure walks, beach trips and sunrise walks, we also use Saturdays and Sundays as this downtime. Auntie Clare likes to take full advantage of this too!! ๐๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐๐๏ธ๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐๐ค
