Did you know that if you own or keep a horse, pony or donkey in Great Britain it must be microchipped? Importantly, the law requires that the microchip is registered with its Passport Issuing Organisation (PIO).
Whilst owners often use Digital Stable to start this process and request the relevant paperwork from the PIO, it is not complete until the microchip is officially linked to the passport by the PIO who then load this onto the governments Central Equine Database. Some owners are not aware that this data will be highlighted as "Amber Data" (unverified) on Digital Stable until this happens.
