With the launch of our new settle mat prints & Xs harnesses, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve shared a bespoke make on the grid!

ABU started as a solely Biothane company! We have a huge range of customisations available from hardware to name plates. All available in any size imaginable thanks to them being handmade to order!

This beauty is called 🌸 “The meadows” 🌸 and can be found under the Cork x Biothane section of the website! Fully waterproof, robust & wont fade / rub off thanks to the lasered on design!

Y shaped harnesses work with your dog NOT against them! 💛 Designed to allow full range of movement for their skeletal & muscle structure 🙌 Have you ever worn an off the shoulder top or slightly too tight jacket, Technically you can move but it feels constrictive / uncomfortable ? That’s exactly what a harness that goes straight across a dog’s chest feels like! 🥴

This is why when creating our line of adventure dog harnesses we knew we wanted a y shaped harness!

When out on your adventures you don’t want to be worrying about your pups gear! 🏔️🐾 If you’ve ever had the following pop into your head on a walk we can help… Is it going to last/ break? , am I ever going to get all this dirt off!? , is it comfortable & safe?

Our harnesses are durable, practical AND safe! From strength testing to smart features like our padded grab handle & air tag pouch, we have thought of everything!

Long lead lovin’ 💖

Waterproof, colourful & beneficial… what’s not to love!

Our handmade long leads are a staple in every dogs ‘wardrobe’🙈 even if your dog has great recall sometimes leads are required so why not give them that bit more freedom than a standard lead!?

We make our waterproof long leads in any length from 3m all the way up to 30m & everything in between! Meaning you can choose the best length for you & your dog! 🐕

If you are new to long leads I usually recommend going for 5m as it’s a great versatile length that’s easy handled, but you can always go longer once you get the hang of things!

Here’s a quick length guide 👇
3m - sniffy walks, house line or as a safety drag line
5-8m - a great starter lead, recall practice in gardens, parks or smallish spaces 🌲
10m- a good all rounder for recall in more open spaces like fields or my favourite… beach trips! 🏖️
15-30m - the most freedom but a bit trickier to handle!

Remember ALWAYS attach 5m+ length long leads to a harness rather than a collar to protect your pups neck in situations where they run fast to the end of their lead etc.

Lastly ABU long leads are fully customisable from length & collar to hardware (clasp type) & extras (traffic handles, removable handles etc)

SETTLE MAT 101 ✨

So these pretty looking mats have been popping up on your feed, but your wondering WHAT ARE THEY? 👀

Settle mats are compact travel beds/ mats for Dogs (and the odd cat lol) that you can take on all your adventures! 🏔️🐾

They are perfect for dog friendly cafe trips, holidays, camping, dog training classes & picnics to name just a few uses! 🙌

The mats have been specially designed with features that make them more fit for purpose than say a blanket.

- non slip grips to keep it in place
- carry handle, dee rings and pack-away abilities make it perfect for travel
-waterproof coating & durable materials
- padding for comfort but not too bulky to roll up!

Settle mats are a great visual boundary & comforting space that your pup will recognise when out and about & feel more comfortable in new or busy places! This means they are much more likely to settle down quicker than without! 🙌

Top tip - introduce your dog to the mat in a familiar setting & reward for any interaction or down stays with some tasty snacks! Build up duration & distractions.

It’s NOT fabric!!💦One of the questions we get asked most about our roam range is “Is it waterproof?” … Heck YES it is!! 🙌

Everyone always says it looks just like fabric, I always love the surprise on people’s faces at markets when they feel just how soft yet waterproof the range is! 🤭

Our roam range is currently available in Sedona skies in collars Small - XL fitting necks as totey as 20cm & as large as 70cm AND your new go to lead style - convertible! These beauties are fully adjustable & can be used in endless combinations 🫶🐾

BRB Gone Hiking 🥾 🐾

How handsome is our amazing rep .thesablespaniel posing in his full ABU gear! This wee man headed off on an adventure to the Lake District! Needless to say his mama didn’t need to worry because his apparel was fully adventure proof!
