Ten-year-old Magnus is with Animal Concern Cumbria.

Make it Mandatory for Drivers to Report Cat Road Accidents to Police please sign rspca petition ❤️

Did you know that if you hit a cat with your car, legally you do not have to report this to the police? 🐈

Drivers legally have to report if they hit other animals including dogs, pigs, horses, cattle and goats, but sadly cats aren't covered by the same legislation.

Cats are much more likely to be affected by road traffic accidents, which is why we're calling on the UK Government to ensure that reporting cats hit by cars becomes mandatory.

Tigger is with Cats Protection North Herts. The 16-year-old came into their care as his owner was moving away and couldn't take him with her.

The tell us: “He is friendly, chatty and has recently been diagnosed with early kidney disease whilst in care. This will need to be maintained by a special diet. He would be best homed as a single cat and with a single person or couple.”
