Cross Country Group walks (small groups) and individual walks available. Experienced and qualified with a BSc in Animal Behaviour. After getting my first dog, Kaya, a Boxer x Lab, from a rescue centre, I became really interested in animal behaviour and training and so I went back to college to study this. I have a degree in Animal Behaviour & Welfare (BSc Hons). I originally set up WoofersWalks wh
ile I was studying and ran it successfully for several years. During that time I also volunteered at a local dog training club. I then went to work at Dogs Trust for over two years, firstly as a Senior Coach running training classes at Dog School and then as a CC2 Dog Trainer at one of the rehoming centres, where I mostly worked with the dogs in the special training and rehabilitation section (dogs who had extra training and behavioural needs). I am experienced with many different breeds, temperaments and behaviours and I understand dog body language and behaviour. In 2018 I adopted my rescue puppy, Wesley, likely a Terrier x Chihuahua. I loved working at Dogs Trust but feeling that I was missing out on time with him due to my long commute, I decided to start up WoofersWalks again. I have a keen interest in training. Wesley and I are working towards our Good Citizen Gold Award, attend Rally obedience classes where we also compete and we go to agility, where we are also starting to compete. I am very reliable, trustworthy and conscientious and I will look after your dog, as if it was my own. My car has been fitted with professional, custom made crates so that your dog is transported securely. I enjoy going on cross country walks in many different places, so your dog will enjoy a long walk in the countryside, usually in a different place each day. Dogs are grouped according to their needs, play style, abilities and temperaments so that they get a suitable walk. The time stated for a walk is the time your dog will spend walking. I also offer home visits for cats. I have had cats all my life of varying temperaments and have volunteered at a cat charity. I hand reared a litter of kittens for them and managed to keep two of them myself! I currently have three cats, who rule the roost! I usually take photos on a walk or visit so that you can see where we've been and what your dog or cat have been up to :)
