Our intermediate scent detection group have done an amazing job this training phase and have absolutely risen to the challenge of taking things to the next level with systematic search.
This phase they have been learning about vehicle and building systems of search and also using their ever increasing ability to read their dog’s body language to work on finding blind hides.
Tomorrow night is their end of training phase assessment which is (as always) scenario based! An “anonymous tip off” has come in to Swift Paws HQ saying that there are members of the local community trying to derail a council meeting on a controversial vote on the use of land for a chemical testing plant. They’ve got to work together either find the “hidden explosives” or clear the building and vehicles outside it and work out who is behind the attempt to derail the meeting!
They’ve solved every case so far - so we not only trust our dogs but also our handlers to solve this one too!
