Meldon Park Kitchen Garden, Gardener

The kitchen Garden is a unique garden with its own microclimate and home to a keen elderly gardener, found 5 miles west of Morpeth.
We require a gardener for this 1 acre kitchen garden plus surrounding wild garden area.
You will be working with one other who is responsible for grass keeping and other typical maintenance jobs of a garden like this, you will work with Mrs. Cookson and family and be part of a larger team employed elsewhere on the estate.
You will need necessary expertise and knowledge of perennial herbaceous beds, fruit trees and some fruit and vegetable growing, this is a position for the management of herbaceous borders mainly. Evidence of relevant experience would be appreciated.
This is an ideal position for an individual looking between 8 and 16 hours per week, season depending.
The hourly rate is £15 per hour starting in August.
We are happy to look at either self-employed or via PAYE.
