You may receive an email from Petchip.network advising that your pet’s microchip registration has expired and you need to pay for it to be updated – PLEASE IGNORE. THIS IS A SCAM. The email comes with a link taking you to a page showing your pet’s name, microchip number, your contact phone number and looks very convincing. PLEASE IGNORE.

There is a list of approved databases on gov.uk: Get your dog or cat microchipped - GOV.UK

Typically you would only pay a fee or first registering your pet or if you contact the company to update your details .

It is important to keep your pet’s microchip contact details up-to-date including if you move address or change phone number/ email address. Please contact your microchip provider direct to update your details.

For the record, we never post photos of any pets that have been brought to us as any genuine owners will be able to provide evidence and descriptions. This makes sure the right pet gets reunited to their owner properly.

❗️STRAY DOG❗️

We have had a dog brought into our Harwood branch this afternoon.

She is a black and white Staffordshire bull terrier.

She is chipped and we are trying to get in touch with her owners, however the numbers held by the microchip company do not connect.

If you think this little one could be yours please contact us on 01204 609060.

Our page is not monitored regularly, the quickest way to reuinite this little girl with her family is to call us. 🐾

We will be taking her to pet medics worsley for the weekend.

Hello.
We have had a few strange calls recently regarding microchips. Please be assured theat we will NEVER charge you an annual fee to keep your pets chip registered with us. We also can't change the details logged on the chip, that is done via your chip company. So don't forget to contact them if you move or change details. We will always be happy to update our system for you, no charge 😊

Hello!
Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone is keeping warm and safe. We are still open if you need advice or to collect medication, please take care on the roads and pavements.
When coming in from a dog walk or cats returning from adventures we recommend checking and cleaning paws to remove salt and grit and to check for small cuts or injuries.

🐾FOUND DOG🐾

Hello everyone,
We have had a little shih tzu type dog brought into our Harwood branch. He is a small brown and white dog he is not neutered.

He is microchipped however we are waiting for information from the microchip company which can take a few days unfortunately.

He was found near Bradley Fold by a dog walker.

If you think he may be your dog please contact our harwood branch on 01204 609060. Proof of ownership will be required.

Bandit belongs to one of our Registered Veterinary Nurses Gabi.

He is only 6 months old so still a baby!

He loves snacks especially cheese and chasing peoples feet 🧀

He hates having baths 🛁

Meet Rupert❤️

Rupert belongs to one of our receptionists Emma.

Rupert is 7 years old. 🐾

He loves cuddles and pinching socks 🧦

Rupert has also made me realise i did not keep up with our 12 days correctly! so our 12th day will be the 23rd! Must be that naughty elf from last year! whoops! 🎄

Meet Willow (left) and Poppy (right)❤️

Willow and Poppy belong to one of our vets Faye.

Willow likes calm and quiet and curling up by the fire, dislikes when her human family have friends round!!!! Her best friend is her fur sister Poppy 🐾

Poppy, likes trying to eat food she shouldn’t and playing with wand toys; dislikes when mum tries to make the bed when she’s sleeping on it!!! 🛏️

She loves her daddy very much!! 🐈

She is constantly plotting how to get mummy to just open food and have no further interactions 🤣🤣

Meet Fury❤️

Fury belongs to our Deputy Head Nurse Anabelle.

She's a serious girl that likes curling up with a soft blanket to watch TV! 🐾

She hates nail clips and any paw touching. And also ginger cats! 🤣🐈

Fun fact - she was found as a stray, she already only had one eye and no issue navigating her way around anywhere, including all the neighbours houses.🤣

Bear belongs to one of our Student Veterinary Nurses Amelia.

He likes blankets, socks and slippers (under supervision!)

He dislikes loud noises and the bath 🛁

Bear unfortunately does not have a fun fact however he is cute and he can sit and paw which is a big achivement for him! 🦮

Meet Lilly.❤️

This is Lilly the eldest girl of Pamela our Practice Director.
Found in a crisp box with 10 siblings (one of those is Louis from earlier!) 🐈‍⬛

She loves being warm, cuddles with daddy and nap time. 💤

She hates being cold and barely tolerates her little brother. 🤣

Fun fact she can hear the dreamies tub being opened at 3am even when snoring! 🐾

Meet Louis❤️

This is Louis the very much loved eldest of Pamela our Practice Director.
Found with his sister Lilly (who will be posted later!) he adores his mama.

He loves being involved in everything and likes to help. 🐈‍⬛

Does not like being left out or told he's not helping...he especially loves Christmas as he gets all the cardboard boxes. 📦

Fun fact his helpfulness ended up with him being operated on to remove sewing thread and a biscuit wrapper!!
Thank goodness for insurance!! 🎉
