Helping Dogs In The UK and Beyond Helping unwanted dogs find their forever homes, by offering foster care to canines to rehabilitate initially, then assess and find suitable forever homes.

This page is all about helping unwanted dogs find new homes. In the past we concentrated our efforts on assisting perhaps the biggest shelter on Lanzarote . We have now decided to extend our assistance to dogs from all over the world including the UK! In all honesty we have taken in dogs from the UK for years because once you are known for rehoming they arrive from all sorts of unlikely sources. W

e have taken the decision to re-home one dog at a time as we are able to accommodate this within our household although we have still retained our multi kennelling facility should the need ever arise. Our dogs are lucky, they exist in a loving , safe environment and exercise in a secure 10 acre grass field, in short they live a privileged life whilst in our care. Please be aware that whenever adopting from us you will have to undergo a home check and provide veterinary references and be prepared to pay an adoption fee . All dogs are offered for adoption are neutered, inoculated and of course microchipped. Recently we have also helped re-home dogs from Serbia, Romania and China and are currently awaiting delivery of a poppet from the Middle East. CHARLIE SETTLING IN
After 4 nights in the UK, this little lad is getting his feet well and truly under the table, even the other dogs don't hate him as much🤭
He will make a super super super pet for some lucky person as he has the nicest possible temperament and is intelligent and trusting- he will be a doddle to train .
Anyone looking for a new addition to their family should seriously consider this little lad and can contact Elcees Rescue by messaging me.

CHARLIE LOOKING FOR A NEW LOVING HOME.

Nowadays we try not to take in too many rescue dogs, rather we try to rehome from their current abode .
Anyhow on Monday night around 23.30pm we took delivery of Charlie . He arrived from Romania , being a supporter of Elcees Rescue who are based in Nottingham, we try and help wherever we can and I promised Lesley that we'd take in this little lad to assist.
Poor old Charlie is around 16 months old and is about the height of a Springer Spaniel.
When he fills out and regains his coat he will look like a small Bearded Collie. For those of you who don't know, I have a fair amount of knowledge with this type of dog having shown and bred champion Beardies many years ago- I moved out of this pastime longer than I care to remember and don't regret it! Not that I want to crib anyone who is involved, it simply wasn't for either Lesley or me!
Anyway back to Charlie.
The poor little chap arrived on a pitch black night, and after a non stop journey from Eastern Europe the wee chap was understandably traumatised.
I had to carry him into our inner yard and set him down to hopefully encourage him to have a p*e! He didn't , though he found a little toad behind a planter 🤭
Anyway he was billeted in a cage in our kitchen, I perhaps against my better judgement , fed him- I couldn't not as he is pretty scrawny !
So I went to bed, rising about 6am and went downstairs expecting WW3 but far from it bless him! I had left windows and doors open as he stunk like a bloody polecat( worse actually) but his cage was clean.
After carrying him outside and encouraging his business he had more grub and went back to bed until we bathed him in an attempt to exorcise the polecat! ( 80% successfully)
Since then the little lad has improved by the hour.
He still likes his cage as his safe place and he remains remarkably clean , his cage is open most of the time and he comes and goes with an increasing degree of confidence. He has accepted bathing, grooming and lead training remarkably well and I have tremendous confidence that he will make someone a lovely companion pet.
Oh, he gets on well with our pack too( they hate him but he keeps trying🤭)
If anyone is interested in adopting Charlie, we can forward your details to Elcees Rescue, he is of course neutered, fully inoculated and has all relevant tests in place.

GEORDIE STILL LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME
It's increasingly hard to find homes for dogs, particularly larger "non designer" dogs in the post Covid world. So many dogs ended up unwanted once lockdown ended- such a shame!
Geordie though being 4 yrs old doesn't enter this unwanted category , he is simply the sufferer of a breakup.
A really nice boy, lovely temperament, neutered, housetrained, fab with other dogs- he has so much in his favour. But nobody is coming forwards at the moment .
We have a friend who operates a rescue scheme and she believes she can find him a home but she isn't able to offer interim accommodation for the lad and he needs a foster home at the very least ASAP as his Mum's move is imminent.
Sadly we are unable to offer foster care ourselves at the moment but there must be some kind person who is able to take him on a foster basis whilst we do our best to find a permanent home.
So please share as a foster home request to all your friends and please ask anyone who has recently lost their pets who aren't ready to commit to a new pet yet but may help out in the short term.
Many thanks

GEORDIE STILL LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME.
This lovely lad still hasn't got a home and it's such a shame, bless him.
He has everything going for him for anyone looking for a dog( or even if you're not actually looking but are slightly tempted to house a rescue)
He is neutered, housetrained , great with children and other dogs. He's bright as a button and nicely trained.- So no behavioural issues to see through , which let's face it , no matter how cute and needy rescue dogs undoubtedly are, it's a trial especially in the first year.
Not so with Geordie boy, he'd be basking on your hearth rug or cuddled up with your other dog from the moment he set foot in your life!
So come on guys, please dig deep in your mind to find someone for him - or your heart if slightly tempted yourself as his need is immense!

HOME REQUIRED FOR CUDDLES
This is cuddly Ralf who is a 10 month old Cane Corsa x Dogue de Bordeaux. Daft as a brush and just wants to play with everything on 2 or 4 (canine) legs.
He is on his 2nd home already bless him , his first owner fell in love, bought him without researching properly. Now they have toddlers and with Ralf growing to be the size of a tiger the kids have spent more time being skittles !
So one night in a pub prospective owner number 2 agreed to take him on and to be fair loves him but he's out all day and the dog gets bored perhaps unsurprisingly , so he is currently chewing stuff. Now before you all say " Of course he's chewing he's a baby and he's bored out of his mammary glands , what did the fool take him on for?" The demon drink can make fools out of the sanest individual! I ve bought several horses in similar circs but never learned! But then I don't profess sanity!
Back to Ralf, he needs a home desperately where he has the attention his lovely nature deserves and he will repay anyone's attention 1000 fold!
