I attended a FB live through Xtra Dog with TTouch Instructor Debby Potts on the Power of The Pause. The pause is one of the most important things we can do for our dogs as it gives them time to process information. It also allows to observe what they are communicating to us. Plus it’s good for us humans as it lets us reset and be there in moment.

As I am a certified Fear Free Groomer I always invest in my CPD.
I have completed another 2 courses through Fear Free. One that I particularly found to be of great interest is Stress, Health and Behaviour. The only way a dog can tell us if something is stressful, or they are feeling anxious, or they are not at their best is through their behaviour. Instead of labelling your dog look at it from the dog’s perspective.

I have been away this week as I was completing my Module 3 in Animal Centred Education- ACE.
At the beginning of the week it was very relaxing and yesterday and today working along side an amazing incredible group of people .
Isla just rocked it with free work. Watching and learning about her preferences, how she organised her body at each station. It was amACEing to watch her.
We learned so much about the dogs, how being mindful, really slowing things down so that we can observe the dogs and thinking how we can help support them.

I use tins with holes and cotton wool bud tip that has clove scent on it. Both girls love it.

I absolutely adore The Coat by Verity Hardcastle. I am building up my scissor collection. Her grooming equipment is fabulous.
I bought the scissor portfolio as I was fed up going through diffferent cases to find the scissors that I need.

This little girl was receiving her TTouch which she absolutely loves. She does not travel well so I take the time to do raccoon touches and slides around her ears and jawline.

Been fairly hectic, started the accredited iPet Course in Dog Training last month.
After next week I am away to Somerset for a break and to do my module 3 ACE with Sarah Fisher at Tilly Farm.
In October I have Trauma and Scent Work.
Spaces are getting limited with Christmas on the horizon.
There will be a brand new website and new business name coming soon. I have to just go over the final photos etc for that. It will showcase the skills that I have built up, and why I work differently.
It will encompass, Tellington TTouch, ACE, Preventative Canine Oral Health Care, and Talk Dog Instructor.

This morning I had a little trip to Acklington to teach Tellington TTouch, 4 pugs and a Boston terrier. A few traumas had a bit of an impact on the dogs and their guardians were keen to learn about the techniques. I spoke about how TTouch was founded, the philosophy, and the 9 Elements. We covered few circular touches, slides and body wraps.
This is one of the little dogs with a head wrap on.
The shift on this little dog was amazing.
So contented and relaxed.

Been pretty hectic, grooming dogs, helping anxious dogs, teeth cleaning and doing Tellington TTouch to help all dogs that come in for grooming.
I have switched shampoo to the fabulous and lush Peanut and Pickle, I am using their shampoo, conditioner, facial wash and ear cleaner plus their scents.
In the past few weeks I have started my iPet Level 3 certification in Dog Training.
Come September I am away for a week and I am doing my module 3 in ACE - animal centred education.
My diary is almost full up until Christmas so spaces are going to be limited.
