Thanks for sharing.

Do you recognize this cat?
She has appeared in the St Olaves area of Bury St Edmunds for nearly a week, seems very hungry. She isn't microchipped. Please contact Cats Protection on 01284 851055 if you have any information. Many thanks

Great news! Silver is safely home!

Poor Silver managed to escape from her cat carrier on the way to the vets in Needham Market. She is a fluffy grey tabby and escaped in Barretts Lane at the High Street end at about 3.10 pm this afternoon Silver is quite a nervous cat so please don't try and catch her but contact her owner on 07729236559. Please send a TEXT message rather than call. Silver is microchipped.

Back in 2009, Amy adopted two beautiful cats from us - Honey and Nessa. They lived a wonderful life together for many years, until sadly, Honey had to be put to sleep last year.

The lovely news is that Nessa is still going strong 16 years later. At 17 years old, we think she might be one of our oldest adoptees — unless someone out there knows of an even older one… 😊

Thank you so much, Amy, for sharing this heart-warming update. It’s clear that Honey had a long and happy life, and we’re thrilled to hear that Nessa is still enjoying hers!

The first pic shows Honey and Nessa. The second is Nessa😍😍

Unfortunately, the Stowmarket Food and Drink Festival was badly affected by the rain yesterday but our redoubtable team still managed to raise more than £70 before taking cover! Thank you to Rachel, Diane, Margaret, Ashley and Emilia for braving the weather on behalf of our cats! Thanks to all those sturdy souls who supported them too! 🥰

Feeling brave? Here’s a challenge for the thrill-seekers among you!
Could 2025 be the year you tick skydive off your bucket list – and raise funds for our branch while you're at it?

Cats Protection is hosting an adrenaline-fuelled skydive at Beccles Airfield on 21 September, and we’re looking for fearless fundraisers to take the plunge.

You’ll be jumping from 13,000 feet, freefalling at over 120mph – all in support of the work of our branch of Cats Protection!

So why not take the leap, embrace the adventure, and help make a difference?

🎉 Tombola Prizes Needed! 🎉

We're on the lookout for donations to help stock our ever-popular tombola — a favourite at our fundraisers!

Could you spare a prize or two? 🎁

Think: stationery, toiletries, sweets, bottled drinks — or anything fun and giftable. They don't need to be big or expensive.

If you can help, please call Rachel on 07432 121248 to arrange collection.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for your support! 💛

VERY HOPEFUL NEWS!

Leo has been sighted near to his old home where he now has catflap access to the house. The catflap has been set to "in only" so very hopeful that he will be caught!

Thanks to everybody that has shared the post.

Please see the message below from local charity Our Special Friends and look out for Leo!

We're very sorry to report that a cat, Leo, has gone missing whilst in our foster care in Bury St Edmunds, escaping through a tiny unnoticed gap in the catio fencing, that he must have forced his way through. 😿

Please see the poster for details. He is microchipped.

As you can imagine, everyone is worried sick about him. Please keep your eyes peeled and let us know if you see Leo. He is quite nervous of strangers so may not come to you, even if he's hungry, but if we know where he may be hiding out we can make arrangements to try and capture him.
