We presently provide orthopaedics, dentistry and ophthalmology referrals and as we grow our centre of excellence we aim to provide you with the support your practice needs; an excellent multi-discipline referral service and training centre that is cost-effective. We are committ

ed to providing you, our partners, with the same high standards of care and communication, as the patients and clients we see. We are both local to you and accessible when you need us. Meet Harley! 🦷

Harley came to see Specialist Dental Vet at Byre in early March as he had a rapidly growing invasive tumour in his lower jaw. On his initial visit we debulked the mass and took a biopsy to see what further treatment would be needed.

The results came through quickly and showed a fibrosarcoma - a cancerous tumour. Harleys mass has regrown quickly and he visited us a week later for complete removal. This involved removing the entire lower right jaw, and part of the lower left.

Harley recovered extremely well, and in days was back to his walks, eating and playing in no time.

These kinds of surgeries can often seem quite major and it can be difficult to imagine how well your pet would be able to do with part of their jaw missing! However as Harley proves, they recover really well and it won't get in the way of them living life!

Meet Gary!

Gary came to visit us recently to see Specialist Dental Vet Gerhard Putter and as you can see he was very cute but did not want to stay still for photos.

Can you see why he came to visit us?

Gary came to visit us as he had many persistent baby teeth causing crowding and issues with malocclusion. These were extracted in order to prevent any further issues. 🦷

We're hiring a Veterinary Surgeon to join our fabulous team at Byre Vets based in Cambridgeshire.

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with some degree of experience in first opinion practice that can help with the first opinion caseload of the practice.

We would also be happy with an applicant looking to further specialise in any field, and in this case further training will be supported and access to a more advanced caseload will be provided by the referral service present.

We are looking for an RCVS Registered Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team of three Veterinary Surgeons and five Nurses at Byre Veterinary Surgery 🐶

We are looking for someone with good communication skills that will bring their individual expertise and interests to our practice, enhancing the service that we provide to our clients. We are a practice that will provide a varied and interesting caseload and a supportive team.
