✨Hello✨
I thought I’d do a little introduction post to the person behind C.A.S Equine Coaching.
My name is Caprice and I have been a qualified instructor for over 2.5 years now having gained my BHS stage 2 at the Berkshire Riding Centre during a period of working there. Teaching has always been my dream, ever since I could remember I wanted to train police horses and the police how to ride, but fundamentally I just wanted to teach.
Having first sat on a horse at the age of 3 on holiday with my parents, it sparked a lifelong passion for me. At the age of 6 my dream began as I started to have lessons at my local riding school before moving to my beloved Orchard Cottage Riding Stables which gave me the fundamental knowledge I still rely on today. I cannot thank that yard or their staff enough for nurturing my passion and educating me on equestrianism, I owe them everything.
From there I started to have share horses through the ages of 14-18 as well as working on a variety of different yards, from livery to racing, before I decided to go to Moreton Morrell to study an Equine Studies degree in 2015. Graduating 3 years later I stepped away from the equine industry to get a “real” job (what even is a real job?!) before realising that horses remained my passion and I wanted to finally get my qualifications to teach..
So, that leads to now, I’ve been teaching at various riding schools for the past 2 years and am currently freelancing based at Goulds Green Riding School. I focus on rider goals using the SMART system (which I’ll explain more in another post!) working through problems and confidence issues, as well as giving you the support to have fun with your riding. I am hoping to develop my teaching further whilst also being open to taking on new clients for 1-2-1 training sessions in the future, so watch this space!! 🐴
