In 2007, two scientists from Oxford working at the International Centre for Forestry Research believed that people didn't place enough importance on forestation. ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฒ
Their aim was to highlight the importance of forestry research to global policy makers as well as the United Nation Framework Convention of Climate Change Conference of Parties.
Finally, in 2012 the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution marking March 21st as International Day of Forests.๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฒ
Each year there is a different theme and this year it will be forests and foods. ๐๐๐ฅญ๐๐
Forests support soil health, protect water sources ๐๐ฆ๐ฌ and provide habitats - especially for pollinators ๐๐ชฒ๐. Forests provide food and livelihoods for millions of people around the world.

Most dog owners won't see any difference in their dogs, but do you think your dog acts a bit strangely when there's a full moon? ๐๐ถ
There isn't any scientific evidence to suggest that a full moon affects a dog's behaviour, but many people have anecdotal evidence that it does. Some people claim their calm dog can become more agitated and bark more, while others say their dogs become sleepier around the time of a full moon.
Many people believe a full moon can affect people too and this idea goes back many moons - (pun absolutely intended!). The idea that the lunar calendar can affect people's and animal's moods is an ancient theory. While there is little evidence the moon can affect behaviour, there is some evidence it can disturb sleep patterns - but only because the bright light of the moon might keep people awake and impact on their mood the following day.
