HOME SAFE ♥️✨

MISSING - Woodcroft area, Galgorm 🥺😿

Nova has gone missing, and has not been seen in over 24 hours. She was due to attend a vets today as she was a little unwell yesterday, so her owner is worried sick! Nova was adopted from ourselves, so is microchipped.

Please share, or contact us on [email protected] if you see or have any information on Nova - we can pass this on to her owner.

Oh now THAT'S a glow up! 🤩❤️

Frankie came into our care via council animal welfare, in quite a state 🥺 Frankie had a shattered leg, from a suspected car accident, as well as deep lacerations and old, uncared for wounds. The fur of his chest had also been dyed pink, which could possibly suggest abuse such as dog baiting 😭

Frankie had to have a hind leg amputated, and where his old wounds had not healed, the vets were able to remove the necrotic flesh, and these were then stitched as much as possible. Frankie got his name from looking a little bit like Frankenstein's creation at the start 😱🥺 but he was really the best wee patient, and is now happily residing in the home of one of our fosterer volunteers while he awaits his forever family! 🤗🏡 Frankie is his fosterers 'little shadow' - he's such an incredibly affectionate, loving boy and is very happily enjoying comfortable home life again! Nothing fazes him. If interested in offering Frankie a home, you can find the link later in this post!

Frankie obviously required quite a bit of medical care - we receive no government funding, and rely entirely on the generosity of people like you! 🙏❤️ So if you could help us contribute to the cost of Frankie's care, we would be so grateful 🙏 If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing Frankie's story with your friends, family, and on social media. Together, we can make a big difference to cats lives!

Frankie is now fully recovered, and is actually fit and ready to find his forever home! 🥳 We are accepting adoption applications for him via our website below ⬇️

If you'd like to make a donation to Frankie's medical costs, you can do so via our JustGiving link below - all donations to his page will remain within Northern Ireland, to help our local cats in need! 👇🤗

MOUSER HOME APPEAL - Cub the Mighty Mouser (4 months old)🐀🐱

Cub is not a pet cat, and should not be treated as such - his carer did a good job, putting in the effort to give him the opportunity, but not pushing Cub to be something didn't want to be - he is seeking a home as a working mouser with safe, ideally rural, outdoor access. He is already very good at hunting with a high play/prey drive despite his young age!

He has however developed a taste for some home comforts. He has recently started to enjoy a nap beside a radiator on a soft blanket, or a sleepy loaf on an armchair (alone) - and will even indulge in a bit of play. However, he does not like to be touched, and it stresses him out a lot - so this is not something that should be expected or pushed upon him, he will be an independent cat that will provide excellent pest control services.

While we will accept expressions of interest from purely mouser homes (aka outdoor only, but with shelter and feeding available), his carer has said she would love if we would try our best to find a relocation where he had a bit of comfortable access - even if it's just a window into a soft bed in a utility room, or just a toastie garage with fluffy beds to call his own! As she has developed a real soft spot for the beautiful boy, but caring for many cats is an understandable struggle 🥺

With this temperament, Cub would not be good around children if he were to have any indoor access available to him. He would be fine with other cats, as he's used to living around multiple other cats - and in fact he's never been alone and really likes other cats around, so another cat around would be very preferable. If no other cats are around, but a second relocation would be welcomed, we definitely have opportunities to provide him a like minded friend, as we very often have cases like this who could do with being relocated!

As a mouser relocation, he will have no adoption fee (though donation welcome), though virtual homechecks will be required and relocated mousers are brought and released by our volunteers into their designated area. A secure garage/shed/barn would be required to keep him indoors initially if to be outdoor only - in this unique case, he could have this short time indoors since he is used to some indoor time, if in a calm quiet area and left to do his own thing. Cub does not like to be approached or touched, but has no problem once settled owning the place!

Cub is neutered, FIV/FeLV tested negative, and vet checked - he will have a top up vet health check, parasite treatment and vaccination again before being relocated.

If interested, please email [email protected] to get in contact or 03000120314 (to leave a message with your details via our helpline, which is then forwared on to us to follow up) 🤗

We are actively seeking homes for other purely outdoor, feral mousers as well. So if Cub isn't a mouser match for you, but you could accommodate some very independent mousers who just needs a bit of supplementary food and shelter on your farm/stables/countryside home etc please also feel free to get in touch (we particularly have a mother and two older feral kittens also seeking homes in a very dangerous location!)

Over 100 days 🥺

These little ones entered our care over one hundred days ago, as handrear kittens - bottle fed and raised in our fosterer volunteers loving care. They are seeking loving forever homes (now 4 months old)!

Dee, Dennis and Mac are all absolutely fantastic souls. Their brother, Charlie, has been adopted and is loving life as the affectionate, pampered kitten they all deserve to be! These three are affectionate, playful and confident little things - you can read more about their individual personalities and unique characters on their individual personality profiles, on our website at the link below! ⬇️👇
https://www.cats.org.uk/ni -all

They would be great as individuals, or in pairs (particularly Dennis and Mac, who have become great friends since their other brother left them)! 💞

These kittens are all: neutered, fully vaccinated, parasite treated (with a free spot on treatment home with them for their next due dose), fully vet checked, FIV/FeLV negative and come with 4 week free pet insurance. They are also eligible for delivery home at no additional cost, anywhere in Northern Ireland, as part of our adoption process! This is all included alongside full pre and post adoption support, with our £95 adoption fee.

Please share to find them loving homes - they are such content and loving little things! They'd make fantastic family pets in busy homes 😚

Another 'Adoption Spotlight' 💞😻

💛 Meet Claude & Bisous 💛

From the very start, these two have only ever had eyes for each other. Out of their whole litter, they’ve formed a very special bond – curling up belly-to-belly, napping in sync, and bouncing around like two little whirlwinds of joy!

Bisous (her name means kisses 💋) is a bold, playful girl who loves fuss and attention, while Claude is her sweet, affectionate brother who melts for tummy rubs and head boops. They are confident and full of character, truly unique kittens! 😻 Claude even grasps your hand gently when you stop petting him, as if to say 'No, don't stop!' 🥺 Together, they’re the perfect balance – and truly inseparable 🐾

They’re looking for a loving home together where they can keep sharing their adventures, cuddles, and kisses! Could that be with you? 🏡💕

👉 Read more and apply via the ‘Enquire about Claude & Bisous’ button at the bottom of their profile below! 👇

UPDATE: Safe relocation secured! 💞🙏 If anyone else wishes to offer a safe home for outdoor cats like her in the future, please feel free to get in touch as we often run into little ones like her in need!

EMERGENCY Rural Mouser Relocation Needed - Extremely Short Deadline 😿🐭

Unfortunately, we have a semi feral to feral cat from a very dangerous location who is in immediate, emergency need of a safe farm or rural location to relocate to. Our volunteers only became aware of this situation yesterday, after they spotted a young mother's kitten that had been killed 😭 This mother was running the busy road where her 4-5 month old kitten passed away, and was very distressed 😞

This mother has now been fully healthy checked, neutered, vaccinated, flea worm treated, FIV/FeLV viral tested negative and we have a very short window of time to find her a safer place to go 😿 There was mention that she had three kittens at a time, but with one deceased (and no sign of the others at the moment) we aren't sure. Our volunteers will have traps out this weekend just in case - so if you could possibly accommodate more than one, it would be appreciated but we aren't sure at this time (again, they would be fully vetted and neutered as well if there are any surviving kittens). We are loathe to return her to such an unsafe location, but we truly have no other options if we cannot find her a safe place to go 😞

All you need is to have ⬇️
- A safe location for her/them to live, and hunt (providing excellent pest control)
- A secure shed/garage/barn etc to be enclosed for a short time initially, to prevent them becoming lost
- Willing to provide a little supplementary food to top up hunting

As this is a very short notice relocation, we will provide litter tray and litter (only required for the short time closed in), a little starter food and we can transport anywhere in Northern Ireland.

If able to provide a safe relocation, please email [email protected] 🙏 Please share to give this poor girl a chance 🥹

Wonderful young mum, Tawny 😻💞

Following our website update yesterday about lots of new faces seeking homes, we thought we'd start to highlight some and let them have the spotlight individually for a bit!

Tawny (1.5yrs old) might be a young mum, but oh my is she a good one - so good, we suspect she might have actually stolen her son Peregrine from another mum 🤭 Tawny is a DOTE - she is such an incredibly laid back, affectionate and chill character. She loves cuddles and comfort - she even dissociates and stares unblinkingly into the abyss in pure joy when she's reallyyyy happy, such as when she's on a soft blankie or making biscuits in her fluffy donut bed while her babies safely eat 🥺 Her fosterers affectionately say 'Tawny is lost in the sauce again!'

Tawny is an utter joy, and the most content and happy wee cat we've had in a long time, for being in our care so long raising her young ones. Tawny is seeking a loving home alongside one of her much adored children - she loves them all so much!

If interested, read more about Tawny and her lovely kittens on our website below - and use the 'Enquire about' button at the bottom of their profile pages to submit an adoption application! ⬇️💞

Cats Protection - Coleraine Branch

Our branch is run by a small number of unpaid volunteers, we currently have 5 foster pens and a van for our TNR work. We work really hard to rehome cats and kittens in the local area, promote neutering of cats, and TNR feral colonies.

In 2017 we rehomed 27 cats and kittens, and TNR’d over 220 feral cats.

We are looking for volunteers to assist us with our work and fundraising, so that we can keep going with all of our work for cats. Please contact us for more information.

We also have a Registry on amazon where you can donate items to our centre for use for our special felines. Anything you could manage would be greatly appreciated. Just follow the link below. Thankyou
