Chepstow and District Canine Society Open show.

Spent a fantastic weekend taking photos at this lovely 2 day show. The weekend kicked off with the non-sporting groups (Toy, Utility, Working and Pastoral) on Saturday followed by the Sporting groups (Terrier, Hound and Gundog) and companion classes on the Sunday. The committee had also set a 1940s theme for the weekend with prizes for best costume.

First time at this show, with a lovely indoor venue at an equestrian centre, the floor was great for moving the dogs on although I think I took a fair bit of the sand home with me 😅. The team had done a lovely job with banners, table cloths, props, music and their own costumes to set the 1940s vibe. I've put a lot more black and white images in the set than normal to help keep this theme going.

There was a good entry with some of the more uncommon breeds which meant I had the chance to photograph some breeds I haven't had the chance to before which is always a great experience.

Congratulations to all the winners on both day, especially our overall winners for the weekend.

A big thank you to the committee, judges, stewards and everyone else who gave up their time to make the show happen.

I hope you all enjoy the photos, any images can be purchased directly through the website.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Well it's a wrap after two very busy but lovely VE 80th anniversary Themed show days, with Committee, judges.tradestand holders and exhibitors getting into the dress code.
Fab couple of days but well worth it. A huge thank you to all our Committee although we may not always agree, (we're human) we pull together like a true team that we are and they all work so hard for very little thanks..you girls are fantastic.
I'd like to extend thank you's to the Judges, two of whom had travelled down from Scotland which was very very much appreciated, your dedication was very much appreciated. Also to our stewards, especially considering we found ourselves with four novice and a couple unable to attend, but in true VE spirit we soldiered through. The trade stands as always a lovely interest within the arena.
Our lovely Jordan from The Munch Stop how awesome was the food, his young helper and himself were as always pleasant, quick, and always a smile and the food fresh meat and accessorised with again fresh which then produces awesome food. I would definitely recommend this young man for any venue.
The Equestrian Centre staff and caretaker for allowing us to stay later on the Sunday as said 1st time ever.
Justine for brilliant Rosettes which people commented on over the 2 days xx
A huge thank you and debt of gratitude to Alan Roberts who manned the car park throughout the two days and kept things outside moving and controlled when our girls had to return inside..thank you Alan.
Our fun show of which the monies went to our this year's Charity Hero Paws did really well to be forwarded.
Now last but not least you the competitors without whom there would be no show. The late finish tonight was unprecedented for us but different things add to these minor glitches but no worries hopefully most had a good day.
We extend a safe journeys home to you all and here's to our next show and don't forget our Limited Show Dec 21st In the Millenium Hall, top Road Garndiffaith look out for the schedules about late Sept early October.
Thank you to our photographer Chris whose Photographs will follow on our CDCS page via his Earthdog photography FB page.
Thank you every one you know who you
Now it's definitely time for bed...... on to the next show.
