With branches in Ringwood, Verwood and Ferndown we can care for your pet with facilities that are accredited to the highest level by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. 🐢TORTOISE PRE-HIBERNATION CHECKS🐢

We are very lucky here at cedars to have Emily and Hattie our vet and nurse combo who love all things exotic

At Cedar vets we are here to offer you pre-hibernation checks to help ensure they are ready for their long winter sleep!

Our hibernation checks include a full clinical exam with Emily our Vet, a faecal parasite screen and if required an X-ray for our female tortoises.

If you find an unwell wild bird, please visit the RSPCA website for advice on the best approach. Please do NOT bring unwell wild birds to the practice or to rescue centres. without calling ahead.

With the warmer weather please remember the risks of heat stroke!

Elderly dogs, puppies, overweight dogs and brachycephalic dogs (flat faced) are at higher risk.

Please also remember the temperature of the tarmac- we wear shoes and often forget how hot it gets! If you can’t hold you hand on the surface for 5 seconds or more it’s too hot too walk!

Walking dogs early morning or in the evening when the temperatures are cooler can save your dogs lives
