Hello my name is Helen, owner and solo groomer at Purrfect Paws small animal grooming. Purrfect Paws was founded in 2009 after a love for all animals led me into the animal grooming industry. I have a huge passion for animal welfare, which is why welfare is always at the heart of my business ethos and services. I have 15yrs plus experience within the grooming industry, as well as many years exper

ience in pet care as both a pet owner and pet professional. I currently hold a higher national diploma in animal management to distinction level which included modules on:
Animal Health and Welfare
Animal Behaviour and Training
Animal Nutrition
Animal Ethics and Legislation
In addition, I have also completed a CPD certification in Feline/Canine health and first aid training, along side a CPD certificate in feline behaviour in the grooming environment. my aim at Purrfect Paws is to offer a welfare based, one to one grooming service which focuses on the individual needs your pet. This means using a non forceful approach to grooming methods, and adjusting each booked session to the individual requirements and telos of the animal I am working with. I will never force or inflict distress on any animal in order to achieve an aesthetically pleasing groom. However, I will work with your pet to ensure their grooming requirements are fulfilled without compromising their welfare. 10yrs young Rusty, DLH popped along this morning for a maintainace session.
Rusty had a few smallish areas of matting to be gently clipped away. He also needed a really good deshed to remove all of his loose under coat and make him feel more cooler and comfortable in the hot weather we're having at the moment.
He finished his session with the obligatory lickelix treat and a little facial cleanse to help him feel fresher.
As always Rusty was as good as gold during his session and took everything in stride!

Mr Teddy bear chinchilla Persian popped along this afternoon to have his hair sorted out.
Teddy had quite a bit of super tight matting on his chest, tummy and hygeine to be gently clipped out. His guardian also opted to have his remaining coat length reduced with a comb clip to make for easier maintenance at home.
As usual Teddy was an absolute star during his session this afternoon. Well done super Ted! 😘🌟

Hendrix ❤️
Big handsome boy Mr Hendrix popped along this morning for his usual pre booked session.
As usual with his super thick coat, Mr Hendrix benifited from having an all over comb attachment trim to reduce the thickness and keep him more maintainable at home.
Hendrix also received a claw trim (which he didn't really appreciate bless him 😅), plus a hygeine trim to help keep his rear end clean when using the litter.
As usual we were on a timer with Mr Hendrix before his patience for grooming ran out. However, he did really well today and we managed to get everything done with minimal upset 😊.

Snowy has such a super thick coat and doesn't very often allow his guardians to maintain it. Therefore Snowy really does benifit from being kept in a modified lion trim to help prevent mats and help him feel more comfortable and confident.
As always Snowy was such a sweetheart for his session with me, much to the Suprise of his lovely guardians! 😅

Also, he's been a really good and brave boy today having his groom considering he's recently had to have an op to remove one of his front toes.
