Meadow View Doggy Daycare was originally planned to be Boarding Kennels, the plan was brought forward when my Dog at the time Tia developed a Thymoma - a large Tumour in her chest, she wasnt insured and to cover her vets bills I had to work 2 jobs. Once she had had surgery and was given the all clear I decided to look for a property where I could work from home and therefore spend more time with her I brought forward my “Kennel” plans and started to look for a property. I found Fron Bach in April 2015 and moved in June 2015, I started caring for customers dogs on a small scale in June 2016 and plans were passed to expand the business in September 2016 to 20 dogs per day unfortunately during this time Tia had been diagnosed with Thymic Carcinoma and although expected originally to survive a few years she passed away on 22nd December 2016 10 days before we opened full time. Opening on 2nd January 2017 was an extremely difficult time for me but we got there and Tia to this day remains as our “Banner” dog I will never forget her and she will always form part of our logo - more recently we have opened our enclosed field “Tia’s Meadow” in her memory and planted a Japanese Cherry Blossom Memorial Tree Tia was one of those special girls who will always retain a place in my heart.
Plans are in place to further expand the site and we are currently working on our new Daycare Room with undercover outside play area, hoping this will be completed early 2020 and this will include 2 boarding kennels for our customers dogs for holidays. We currently have 3 resident dogs who come to daycare when there are spaces, Kali our 5yr old Belgian x German Shepherd, Scooby our 2yr old German Shepherd x Husky and Rogue our newest addition who was for sale on Facebook for £50 :-( she is a German Shepherd x Akita x Husky who loves daycare and looks after all the puppies when they first start shes a very gentle girl who loves to play. We hope to eventually further develop the site to include a small coffee bar, toilets, and a working dog training field in future years.
