Equine Dentistry is an essential part of modern Horse husbandry, ensuring the horses we keep are as comfortable as possible in the mouth and performing at their best when ridden. Owners can experience problems with their horses when ridden, often getting brushed off as behavioural issues, however in many cases these issues can be resolved with regular dental treatment. Other issues such as colic,

choke, quidding, slow eating and dropping of feed are also strong indicators that the horse is suffering from dental pain. To prevent dental pain when eating and also maximise your horses performance when ridden, annual or six monthly check-ups are required by a fully trained Equine Dental Technician

- British Association Equine Dental Technicians (BAEDT) AGM 2010,2011,2012
- Helped on the BAEDT pre examination course 2011
- British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) Advanced Dental Theory Course 2012
- Worked with BEVA/BAEDT qualified EDT's - Adrian Brazier, Alex Jessett, Gemma Lilly, Lee Gosden.
-2012 BEVA/BAEDT Advanced Theory Course
-2013 Currently in the process of becoming BEVA/BAEDT approved EDT :)
-2015 Passed joint BEVA/BVDA Equine Dental Technicians Examination
-2015 Full Member of BAEDT

🎄That’s my last working day of 2018 done 🎄

🐎I’ve had the most amazing year both professionally and personally and I’ll always be forever grateful that you trust me each year to look after your fur babies. Your loyalty to me never goes unnoticed 💕💓

Hannah Breen Equine Dental-Technician will remain training with me as she has for the last two years and continue to flourish as an EDT.

2019 will also welcome the arrival of Theresa Thornes, who I will be training in conjunction with James Arkley EDT. I hope you will all join me in welcoming both ladies on board, so I can continue to provide support and education to budding new EDT’s.

🍁🍂Autumn/Winter Dental treatments are well underway now so don’t forget to catch me before the weather turns.

Older horses and ‘poor doers’ are susceptible to drop weight quickly in the colder months, so don’t forget those all important dental checks! 🍂🍁

How beautiful is the Lovely Spanish MAC 😍 he’s only been in the UK for a little over 2 weeks, and at 9 years old has never had a dental treatment! 🙈 his human noticed some very slight resistance when ridden and called me in straight away....needless to say he badly needed it! He had a shaky start and was a bundle of nerves but within 5 minutes had settled down and was an absolute joy to deal with! Now on the road to recovery with new gnashers ☺️🦄🐴🐎

One of my favourite patients 💕This is 4 year old Teddy who is currently being broken in for his owner Jackie, an accomplished RDA rider. He’s SUCH a good boy for his 6 monthly treatment as you can see from the video. 😍🐴🐎

Guess where I’ve been today? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 I got to see the handsome chap that is Tyson. He’s 21 years young and looks fantastic 😍 I’ve been doing his teeth for the last 5 years and despite some health battles, he hasn’t aged a day! His human, Nicola Holmes is also an absolute 💎 for supplying me with homemade Sloe Gin! What a fab day! 🦄 🐎 🐴

Another Shetland with horrific teeth....no weight loss - no symptoms. This horse had been repeatedly hitting the roof of her mouth with this excessively large tooth. Please don't leave Shetlands just because they aren't ridden and are 'showing no signs'. *Dental issues through no fault of current owner*
