Saddened to receive such sad news today about Lilo

Dan & Amy our hearts go out to you. Lilo battled skin cancer which affected her nose. She was a true fighter. A beautiful happy cat despite everything happening to her.

We bring them into our lives with love. When the time comes to end any pain and suffering we send them over that rainbow bridge with that same love and so much more

Dan’s message …

This is our cat Lilo

Many of you who live around Bailey Avenue, Chestnut Avenue, and Holly Avenue will likely have met her. She often stopped people for a bit of fuss, and sometimes even followed you home.

Earlier this year, Lilo sadly developed skin cancer on her nose, which gradually worsened over time. We received many kind phone calls from concerned neighbours who had noticed her and worried she may have been hurt, and we’re very grateful for that care and concern.

This afternoon, Lilo sadly passed away. Over the past week she took a turn for the worse and lost her usual zest for life, and today we had to say goodbye.

We wanted to let everyone know, as you may notice she’s no longer out and about on your walks, and to say thank you to everyone who stopped to give her a stroke or a little attention. She truly loved the fuss, and we hope she’s left a small mark on a few hearts.
