This year has been challenging and difficult. We have several complicated medical cases, and we have many who pass away....

This year has been challenging and difficult. We have several complicated medical cases, and we have many who pass away. Some are senior and expected some we expect but still painful when they go.
But life must go on. So we are catching up with a series of belated birthdays.
Today we celebrate Mehda's birthday.
This sweet little girl was kept in a hamster cage as a kitten. The owners have no experience and were wondering if they should trim her whiskers.
Our rescuer friend overhead the conversation and spent the next few hours persuading the owners to give up the kitten. After she she need to find a home for Mehda and we adopted her.
Due to being cage, his spine had begun to curve. but luckily, she was so young and still growing so her spine eventually got straightened. Had there been further delay,. her life will be so badly changed.
Now 11 years ago, she is a happy healthy and sweet girl.
This birthday is such a special moment for us!

Hello everyone,
With the passing of Sammy, please welcome our new Cat CEO, Sotong.
Sotong is a FIV+ com cat who lost an eye to infection. These issues reduced his chance of adoption so we adopted him.

Having Sotong as the CEO, we hope to raise awareness of FIV and promote the adoption of FIV and disabled cats.

Every single day, more than 150 stray cats in Akrata wait on the streets hoping for a meal. As the weather gets colder, their need becomes even greater. In the video, you’ll see just one of the many Akrata cat colonies Zoey feeds daily.

This holiday season, we kindly ask for your help.
