That's a wrap!
Joanne Howard and I, Posh Paws Pet Care have finished for the year, a year of so much loss, personally yet so much success, professionally and now it's time for reflection and counting blessings.
To my former colleagues, stay safe I will never not have your backs and to anyone working the Xmas period, also stay safe and I hope you get to spend time with your loved ones.

To all our wonderful clients and pets, past, present and future, we wish you a Merry Xmas.🤗

In our quiet reflections our thoughts will be with the families of Roy Baldwin, Dean Aitken, Tim Heward , Ray Lampkin Allan McOwan, Val Sparry and this week Keith Farr.
They will be remembered with fondness and affection as will all the fur babies who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

It is with great sadness that we have just had to let Milly go over the Rainbow Bridge.
She hadn't been eating for three days and had bouts of not eating prior to this.
She was comprehensively insured to the point where money was no object but she told us it was time to go and this was backed up by extremely poor blood test results.

The above picture depicts, what I hope is happening now, where she is now playing with her brother, Monty, and, like the picture, is running off, with him into the sunset.
She was the gentlest of souls and so intuitive. She loved and is loved.
Jo and I are broken but the inevitability makes things somewhat more logical.

Run free Mills, no more pain. Find Monty.❤️❤️❤️

Willow and Loki absolutely adore one another and engage in spirited, rough play.
Both dogs are absolutely shattered when they go home and sleep soundly dreaming of the fun they had that day.

We are so lucky!

We are pleased to announce that my Daughter, Rebecca, has come on board, on a part time basis to help with housesits.
She is 26, a trainee vet, at Bristol University and her fiancé is a Police Officer.

She will be covered by our extensive insurance and we welcome any enquiries for her services.🙂

This is the same technique that we use but we call it soft contact.
We introduce a reactive dog to dogs we know and trust.
The reactive dog is then introduced to others one at a time. The others say briefly say hi before going about their business and the walk starts we the reactive dog, on a lead at the back so they can see the other dogs ahead without having to look over their shoulders.

The distance is then gradually decreased as and when appropriate.
We've not had one reactive dog that didn't settle into the group and become a better pet for their owners.

With the budget been and gone, I have seen many other dog walkers stating that they are going to raise their prices.
This is an independent decision and tailored to their own circumstances.

Jo and I have decided that any extra costs, we will absorb ourselves.
By comparison, we charge £1 to £2 less, nationally, than other businesses however, locally, we are all around the same.

The way our business is structured, with our electric van and working practices means that we have an efficient working model which keeps our costs and time down.

As such, we don't see it necessary to increase our prices and are mindful that our customers will also be under increased financial pressure.

For those businesses that do increase their prices, they will no doubt do so with regret and out of absolute necessity.

These are challenging times for everyone but we and our related businesses will always do our best for our customers and their beloved pets and remain grateful for the support of our pawrents.🙂
