I bet all vets get absolutely sick of having pets brought into them needlessly suffering from heatstroke.

Its going to be a hot one today with highs of 31°C!!🔥
Here's some tips for making sure your pets remain cool and comfortable.

We advise you not to walk your dogs until later in the day when the sun has set and the temperatures have dropped.

🆘️️If you suspect heatstroke, pour cold/ice water over your pet and drive them to the practice immediately in an air conditioned car.️🆘️

Wildlife often struggle finding water during heatwaves too. Leaving water sources around your garden will help. 🦔

All walks are cancelled tomorrow.
Home visits have been offered as an alternative. Hopefully walks will resume on Tuesday.

So I have an unexpected long weekend to enjoy. No more walks now until this hot spell has passed. Just going to kick back and relax.

I’ve also just found out me and the husband are off to see Johnny Marr tomorrow night in Sheffield. A nice little Brucie Bonus right there.

Out for lunch tomorrow with some of my family too. Well you have to make the most of these times don’t you.

Enjoy the sunshine whilst it lasts everyone. I know I will. 🐾
