Last USA silkie/showgirl hatch for this year. We have six saxony ducks due in a couple weeks to hatch then that’s prob us for the rest of the year. We have hatched a lot of growers so it’s then time to go through them and choose who is staying for next years pens

Delighted with my Pekin Bantam hatch. I bought in 12 eggs and got 8 chicks hatched - blue mottled and black mottled. It’s been years since I had Pekins so I’m pretty excited!

First chicks now dry and in the first size of brooder in my house so I can monitor them the first week to check they are all eating and drinking properly.

One of the hens from my mauve mottled breeding pen and some of the chicks produced. I will take a video of them next week as they are growing so fast and starting to really fill out. Now two weeks old. They are getting moved to a much bigger pen next week to zoomie about, play fight and climb on the adventure playground trees lol

Got really good feeling about these mauve mottled chicks…..was a long time in the making but so far so good!

I have so many eggs in the incubator right now from all the pens plus a wee group of bought in mottled Pekin eggs as I wanted a little group of them again
