Hi everyone, it’s Corri here – the owner of Salthouse Pet Boarding! 🐾
I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to those of you I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet. Many of my long-time customers know me well, but over the past two years, I’ve stepped back from the day-to-day kennel life while navigating my new mum life with my beautiful little girl.
Now that life has settled, I’m absolutely thrilled to be back doing what I love, five days a week, alongside the incredible team that supports me. I’m sure you’ll agree—they do a fantastic job caring for your beloved pups.
A little about why I’m so passionate about making Salthouse different…
About five years ago, I was looking for a kennel to board my two pugs while my mum (their usual sitter) was joining me on a trip. What I found was heartbreaking—metal cages, sawdust bedding, minimal human interaction, and no climate control. As a flat-faced breed, my dogs are especially vulnerable to temperature extremes. I couldn't bear the thought of relaxing on holiday while they were left in such conditions.
That experience lit a fire in me. Dogs are family. They deserve comfort, cuddles, soft beds—and above all, safety.
When I took over Salthouse (just three months into its opening), I saw huge potential. While the foundations were solid, it needed a lot of love and attention. Since then, I’ve worked tirelessly to create a truly dog-led facility with gold-standard care and hygiene practices, built around the needs of our boarders and their paw-rents.
Of course, none of this would be possible without my amazing team. I’m lucky to have Ayla—my right-hand woman—who brings all my ideas to life with my enthusiasm, our creativity and her organisation skills, and Mike—my right-hand man—who puts those plans into practice in the kennels and can fix just about anything with a power tool!
🐶💛
We’re proud of what we’ve built, and I’m so happy to be back with the dogs and this brilliant team. If you see me around, please say hello—I’d love to meet you and your pups!
Stay tuned for more team introductions in the coming weeks!
