🐐 George is busy learning all about our very historic and fascinating village, Castle Bytham.

Did you know? 🏰

🌟 Castle Bytham gets its name from the Norman motte-and-bailey castle built shortly after the Conquest.
🌟 The mound where the castle once stood is still visible today and is one of the largest in England.
🌟 The village was once a bustling medieval settlement, with its own market and fair granted by royal charter. It is even mentioned in the Domesday Book!
🌟 In summer, it hosts the famous Castle Bytham Midsummer Fair, packed with food, music, and history.

That’s exactly what happened for one of our trekkers and Frederick was the lucky boy who escorted the birthday girl on her trek. 🚶🏼‍♀️🎈🐐
