Dun-red millefleur cockerel came about while breeding to explore some birds with an unusually yellow pale ground colour. It was unexpected but I am rather liking the colour. I'd love to know if anyone else has Wyandottes that throw this yellow colour and red in the same line.

Halo, one of my all time favourite Millefleur c***s, has taken over the Millefleur hens. He's a big hit with the girls, they don't leave his side and two other hens have defected from their mates to him too. ;) He's currently in with a regular gold millefleur, 2 x blue millefleur, a chocolate millefleur, a dun millefleur and a khaki millefleur/buff mottled.

Halo, is a favourite Millefleur cockerel. I love his colouring and pattern. This evening when one of the spaniels was being too boisterous too close to one of his hens he intervened and bravely saw the dog off. So long as they behave with me, I like cockerels that protect their flock.

I've been wondering all winter what colour this young millefleur cockerel really is, in his lockdown coop it was hard to tell. Seeing him in daylight, I'm none the wiser. ;) I know he's dun, he and his sister look lemon/cream/ig but the cockerel looks like he could be silver or even the false lemon/cream dilute that seems to run in my flock. I think the chick pictures make them both look lemon.

A lovely millefleur pullet I couldn't bear to part with. Lovely shape and pattern. Unusually for my birds she is quite petite, proper Wyandotte bantam size which is probably a good thing.
