🐾📅 August 15th – Check the Chip Day!

Your dog’s microchip is tiny, but it holds some very important details:
📍 Your dog’s unique ID number
📍 Your dog’s breed, s*x, and age (if provided)
📍 Your name
📍 Your address
📍 Your phone number
📍 Your email (if provided)

If your dog ever goes missing, this is the information vets, wardens, and rescue centres use to contact you.
If it’s wrong or out of date, they may not be able to reach you, and that can delay your dog’s journey home.

Why keep it updated?
✅ Speeds up the reunion if your dog is found
✅ Reduces stress for you and your pet
✅ Ensures your contact details meet UK legal requirements

Tip: If you’re not sure who your chip is registered with, your vet can scan your dog and point you in the right direction.

It only takes a few minutes to check, but it could make all the difference one day.

Meet Harley, a bright, energetic 5-month-old Golden Retriever living his best life in Clapham with his lovely humans, Chris and Jane.

I’ve been working with the three of them over the past few months through my 5-lesson puppy pack, five hours dedicated to laying the right foundations during these crucial early weeks.

Together, we’ve tackled the common puppy challenges: toilet training, crate training, puppy biting, and socialisation, while also educating Chris and Jane in the principles of positive reinforcement. Harley’s now confidently working on his sit, down, stay, loose-lead walking, and recall, and he’s absolutely flying.

He’s smart, eager, and full of potential, a real pleasure to work with.

Back working with some familiar faces.

I used to walk Cooper, a much-loved Frenchie from Camberwell, until he sadly passed away two years ago. Now I’m lucky enough to be helping his successor, Bosco, a bright, cheeky 14-week-old pup, settle into his new home with Phil & Saira.

Phil & Saira purchased a 5 lesson puppy pack where we’re laying the foundations with obedience basics and helping him grow into a calm, confident little companion. Big pawprints to fill, but Bosco’s already making them proud 💙

🌭🐾 Happy National Dachshund Day! 🐾🌭
Celebrating the little dogs with BIG personalities!

June 21st marks the longest day of the year—fitting for the longest little dogs we know. Today, we’re giving a big round of applause (and belly rubs!) to the bold, brave, and absolutely lovable dachshunds who steal hearts and turn heads wherever they go.

From their iconic sausage shape to their fearless attitudes, these pups may be small, but they’ve got giant hearts and endless determination. I love working with dachshunds—helping them channel their energy and smarts into positive behaviours.

Meet Dexter!

He's a 4 month old Cavapoo and the newest member of the Taylor family in Dulwich.
New dog parents Zoe & Laurence purchased a 5 training session pack to get Dexter off on the right paw. In these first 5 lessons we got Dexter settled into his new home focussing on toilet and crate training, socialising, stopping puppy biting and getting the obedience basics in place. Zoe then purchased a second pack of 5 lessons to give us time to work on a ‘drop’ and ‘leave it’ and to proof the basics so they are more reliable and work in some more distracting environments.

Both Zoe and Dexter have been training regularly and their results speak for themselves. A-star students all round!

🐾 Dog Anxiety Awareness Week: May 5–11 🐾

This week is all about shining a light on something so many of our furry friends experience—anxiety. Whether it’s separation anxiety, fear of loud noises, or general stress, it's more common than you might think.

Here are a few simple training tips that may help your dog feel more secure and confident:

🦴 Establish a routine – Dogs thrive on consistency. Regular walk and meal times can reduce anxiety.
🎾 Keep them stimulated – Mental and physical exercise can ease tension and redirect nervous energy.
🐶 Desensitisation techniques – Slowly and positively exposing your dog to anxiety triggers can help them feel less afraid over time.
💛 Positive reinforcement – Reward calm behaviour with treats, affection, or play to build trust and confidence.
