I’m terrible at remembering to take photos because I get caught up watching the teams sniffing. Mellis sniffers on Tuesday brought a variety of hides and lively discussions about what we could all see.
Apologies for the missing teams LOL.

We managed to do a 121 and a 221 as well as enjoy a sausage roll and coffee in the middle. All three teams were really switched on and some great decisions by the dogs as the scent was very much on the move and lots of natural decoys and distractions.

Woop, Hugo managed a walking misper to turning the TL to stop. Super trailing from Team Hugo despite the rain. 4 Dachshunds took to the trails, confident, shy, workman like and improving covers all 4. Team Basil - interesting to see his reaction at some dogs and not others and how when he trails it can be mistaken for "dog" not trail. Good to work through and learn for the handler.
We had all weather but for sure a great morning trailing.

Despite a hold up we managed to get trailing, weather held and many thanks to Jackie for her assistance. We had a new team do an intro and Eurwyn the Welsh Sheepdog, got the game quickly. Team Holly joined us for a change from Scentwork and not a peep out of her. worked very well. Team Parsley, Team Sadie and Team Rossie had great fun with a mix of trails. Well done all.

It was a lovely, warm, sunny afternoon, and the four teams worked their paws off. We focused on how dogs trail in crosswinds, where human skin rafts, breath, and clothing scents don’t settle neatly on the road or grass. Instead, the breeze shifts the scent in distinct ways, influencing how the dogs follow it until they reach the trail layer. Some dogs moved in zig-zag or circular sweeping patterns rather than the usual nose-to-ground trot.
well done all and thank you for coming along to Mantrailing with Trailing Tails.

Nice sunny morning to trail and all 4 teams trailed very well. A nice variety of trails and distances and along the trails the wind did move considerably, nice to with the teams adapting and lot's more checking direction before committing. Mr Henry came out for the first time and did a little hunter trail. Had happy paws after his go.
Well done to the teams.

Tue Mellis Sniffers went sniffing Monday instead. We visited the pub and had such good fun watching all the dogs. Tessa, Tilly, Mini Mouse, Bumble, Belle and Holly. We sniffed, bins, corners with fans, walls, windows, benches and had a laugh. 10 bonus points to Mini Mouse who found the extra one hidden for fun.

It's always fabulous when a team pass their Mantrailing Global Assesments. Team Lara have smashed their Level 2 today. Many thanks to Pete for the long sit out. Thank goodness for sun.
Congratulations indeed.
