Just as we're coming to the end of bull testing for the year, Jenny tested a bull with a very yellow sample! This yellow colour is due to the present of riboflavin. This is a normal finding in some Angus bulls, and does not impact fertility- always a cool finding!

Why are primary-school boys going mad for mullets?

The provocative style, which reached peak popularity in the 1980s, has been making a steady comeback. Young actors like Paul Mescal, Jacob Elordi and Timothée Chalamet have all tried the “Kentucky waterfall” look in recent years, as have numerous rugby players — particularly the Australians and the Irish. But now it is trickling down further than you might expect, with salons applying the cut to kids as young as three.

Laura Devaney, who runs a salon in Epsom, Surrey, says she has seen a huge increase in boys requesting mullets this year.

🗣️ “Boys as young as five or six are coming in with their parents and asking for a mullet,” she says. “It’s not like the ’80s [radio presenter] Pat-Sharp-eat-your-heart-out long mullet — they want something a bit more modern.”
