Hi Everyone,

After much thought and soul searching we have decided that Clancy should be retired from racing. Maybe he decided for himself!

Clancy has been part of our lives here at Staverton since we acquired him nearly four years ago.

He has been fantastic here and on the track.

He retires in full health and will have a good life in another area as he richly deserves.

We will keep members fully updated when decisions about his future are decided. He remains here for the foreseeable at least!

The future of Racing For A Cause is now brought into the spotlight.

This brilliant initiative has raised many thousands of pounds for charity over the last few years.

This has been achievable by the generosity of the members in donating prize money and also the success of the horses, Bounty Pursuit, Freedom And Wheat and of course Clearance.

All the team at Staverton would love for
this to continue.

By the time the Clearance bills are cleared (there will be no more training charges from today) we may have 2 or 3 k available to buy another horse. The problem is that we do not have enough members to pay the costs unless we either get more members or increase the monthly charges.

We need some help and feedback from members please?

Is there anyone out there that could help us by sourcing or helping us financially in obtaining another horse?

How would members feel about an increase in the monthly charges?

Please if you can help in anyway could you either contact Michael Sharon or Allie ..

We will at some point be holding a celebration evening here at Staverton to view his races and celebrate his accomplishments.

Trained in the Heart of the Countryside 🏇

Clearance, our Racing for a Cause syndicate horse, is trained by Michael Blake Racing, a family-run yard based in the small country village of Staverton, just ten miles from the historic city of Bath.

Michael Blake began training racehorses back in 2002 at his family farm, and he's been producing tough, honest runners ever since.
