Taking Charlie's skills and tricks out after already going for a walk, even if your dog can do a simple sit, will they listen whilst out or in a new environment?
Gradually adding distractions to cue's (like a roll over or a middle like we are doing here) will eventually make the behaviour close to 100%, this is called "proofing" the cue.
Charlie had enough by the end so we just went back in, no pressure and keep it positive.

No pressure environment watching with the right amount of distance for your dog to stay calm and relaxed.

Just observing, processing, and learning that the world doesn’t always need a reaction.
Calm watching builds confidence.
Disengagement builds emotional control.

Poor Charlie has a cyst on his leg that was not visible until the groomer put her clippers across it, she was very apologetic but not her fault 🐶

Charlie (the little brown dog) will bark and attack the lawnmower, here we are progressing from just moving the lawnmower, to also turning it on.
This process also works for a lot of things, including vacuum cleaners, give me a call so that your dog can calmly go about their business while you go about yours.
