✨🐾Fun Thursdays at Mucky Pups🐾✨

What a lovely day we’ve had!

We started the morning with the our lovely gentleman Mr Pickle, who enjoyed a gentle 30-minute stroll and plenty of sniffing opportunities. ❤️🐶

Our first group walk was full of fun with Cooper, Murphy, Bella, Dexter, and Ralph. There was plenty of exploring, sniffing and a whole lot of zooming around! 🐾🌳

Later on, Wilma, Willow, Ted, Marlowe, and Rosie headed out for their own adventure. Lots of happy tails, mucky pups, and smiles all round! 🐕✨

This afternoon I started a house sit with Sammy. After his owner headed off, I arrived to keep him company and took him out for a lovely long walk to help him settle. We spent some time relaxing at home before heading back out for another hour-long evening adventure.

Now we’re winding down the day with cuddles on the sofa while Sammy keeps watch over the neighbourhood cats through the window. 🐱👀❤️

Days like these remind me how lucky I am to spend my time with such amazing dogs. Thank you for trusting me with your wonderful pups! 🐾💚

Meet the pups Monday with Sammy the German Shepard 🐾

Sammy is a huge softy who was fostered from a puppy but the owner fell in love with him and couldn’t give him back so adopted him 🐾

He went on his first group walk today and it went amazingly, so we are really looking forward to see who he bonds with the most 🐾

This week’s Pup of the Week is… Rhua!

Rhua is a cheeky, fun-loving girl who keeps us on our toes! As she’s still navigating her adolescent stage, we’re continuing to work on her training, building her confidence around new dogs, and improving her recall skills.

She’s been doing brilliantly on her group walks, so we’re now progressing her to two group walks a week to help her make even more friends and continue developing her social skills. We’re so proud of the progress she’s making!

Warm weather is lovely for us — but it can be dangerous for dogs ☀️🐶

As temperatures rise, I always adjust walk times, bring water, stick to shaded routes, and keep a close eye on every dog for signs of overheating.

A few reminders for dog owners:
🐾 Test pavements before walks
💧 Bring water everywhere
🌳 Choose shaded areas
🚗 Never leave dogs in cars
🌡️ Know the signs of heat stroke

Attention Mucky Pups owners! 🐶✨
Today’s walks are arranged, but with next week’s extreme heat ☀️🔥, we’ll switch to pop-ins. Pop-ins will focus on mental stimulation 🧠🎾-games, scent work, cuddles 🤗, and letting them out to do their business.
I’ll still aim for the first group walk if the heat allows, but the second group will likely be pop-ins. I’ll keep you updated,please let me know ASAP if you don’t need a pop-in, so I can plan my time. Stay cool! ❄️

Meet the Pups Monday - Sonny 🐾

This handsome boy absolutely loves his treats from Moose & Me! 🦴 They’re a great distraction for Sonny and help stop him locking onto other dogs - instead, he checks in with me 👀✨

Treats and rewards can be so helpful for reactive dogs, especially when used to redirect their focus and build positive associations. I’ll often scatter treats in the grass for Sonny to sniff out, which gives him some great mental stimulation as well as being a really useful distraction when needed 🌿🐶

And with Sonny, they’ve got to be tasty treats otherwise they’re just not worth his time 😂 so Moose & Me treats are perfect for him 💛

This week’s Pup of the Week is… Coco 🐶✨

Coco is a little Shih Tzu sweetheart, and I’ve been house-sitting her this week. She’s been such an easy girl to look after!

She’s a proper softy - every time I sit down, she’s straight on my lap for cuddles. She’s even been sleeping snuggled up in bed all night and definitely wasn’t impressed when it was time to get up… she would’ve happily stayed there cuddling all day 😂🤍

Coco is great with the other dogs too, although she’s definitely more of a people person than a dog person! 🥰
