Dottie the very gorgeous Border Terrier had a summer trim and tidy today 😍 Dot didn’t cope well with being hand stripped and found it very stressful. She is now clipped to help reduce her anxiety, also being a senior dog it reduces the amount of time she has to spend on the grooming table. She was a really good girl! No restraints used and little breaks so as not to overwhelm her… well done beautiful you are summer ready! 🐶🐾

The beautiful Hetty had a fluff up and nail trim! 😍 She is a gorgeous Collie/Lab … we used the snuffle mat and lots of positive reinforcement to make her grooming experience relaxed and comfortable. Look at that smile! 💕

Ferg had his very first groom at home today! We were hoping for a brush, bath and dry which we accomplished… we also managed to trim 3 nails! Fergs dad stayed for the complete groom which helped to distract Ferg and reassure him if needed. Next time we are hoping to mange a little trim and tidy… all at Fergs own pace. He did amazingly well with no restraints and little breaks when needed… clever boy! 🐶⭐️

Otto enjoying his Snuffle Mat! This provides an enrichment activity for him to use his body and brain combined with his natural scenting and foraging behaviours. They can also help to improve behaviour. Otto had 3 different types of treats with different textures and values to keep him interested. Hes such a happy boy! 😃

🍂🍁🍃 Autumn can be a lovely time of year, but seeing the leaves changing colour can also bring on the feeling of dread, knowing that unexpected loud noises will soon be upon us.

⚡️🌩⛈💨 Autumn can be challenging for dogs scared of thunderstorms and fireworks, and the changing weather patterns and shorter days can make dogs more anxious.

I had the honour of meeting this gorgeous rescue boy Toby today. He is 9 years old and fabulous! Toby can struggle with being around other dogs so he was groomed at home with his mum and beautiful Golden sister Heidi. We did some brushing, cleaned his ears, clipped his nails and checked his skin and coat. We weren’t sure how Toby would react to being showered but with treats and encouragement he was a happy boy… wagging his tail and giving kisses! Zoomies were had! Toby became anxious when the hairdryer was turned on so we agreed towel drying him would be the least stressful option. He played with the snuffle mat, had some nose balm and a lovely marshmallow spritz! I was so proud of Toby today he did so well for a first visit and was wagging his tail at the end… perfect boy 🐶❤️

I had a Meet & Treat with this gorgeous boy Barney today! I will be seeing Barney weekly for a Brush & Fluff Up! We will do half hour sessions to start with to introduce Barney to his new grooming regime. Lots of praise, positivity and kindness. There will be treats! 🐶
