Clip and Dip Clip & Dip is a five star rated dog grooming salon now based in Pamber Heath. A safe and happy place All this led me to dog grooming.

Having spent the last 30 years in Financial services and being made redundant for the 2nd time in 2 years I decided to quit the rat race and enter into a much more rewarding career. I have always wanted to own my own business, I am a total dog addict and I'm very creative. Now you can set up as a groomer with no training and just a pair of scissors. That was not for me, if I was going to enter int

o this profession wanted to be very good at it. I found a brilliant City and Guilds Trainer/Examiner who actually trained a groomer that went on to win Crafts. She is one of the best Groomers in the UK and Grooming wholesalers use her to test their products before they release them for sale. The training was tough particularly for a mature student like me but I got through it and a achieved my qualification. I have set up a purpose designed dog salon in the grounds of the Sherfield Garden Centre where I will groom all breeds of dogs from the tiny teacups to the big boys, pedigrees to muts! They will all get the same level of loving professional service and will be treated like one of my own dogs. If you are in the area please pop in and say hello and see the set up for yourself. We have been going to Crete in September for over 20 years but this year I found out about Gouves Animal Shelter. They take in abandoned & street dogs & it is totally run by charity. We got the local bus there and had the opportunity of not only giving the dogs cuddles but to take one out for a walk on the beach (a lovely 6yr old boy called Freddie). They have over 140 dogs at any one time all beautifully cared for but the volunteers can't take them all out every day. To see Freddie enjoying some normality walking on the beach was just so rewarding. I hope he had a great day we certainly did.

This is a post I never wanted to write. But poor Bruce was found on the Englefield Estate but sadly was not alive. My heart goes out to Lawrence and his family. They have him home now & I hope they can get some answers. I think its very unlikely he walked the 9 miles so I think anyone walking dogs in pamber forest, as we do every day, make sure they are never out of your sight. Bless your heart Bruce.
