Meet these lovely pups and their handsome big “brother”! 🐾

The three Pomeranian mixes are siblings from the same litter, and they’ve just arrived in their busy new family home.
As you can imagine, everything is new — and sometimes a little scary — so when that happens, they tend to bark out of fear and excitement. 🫣🤪

🐕‍🦺 Fury, the family’s 2-year-old Rottie–XL Bully mix, - despite his name is a laid-back, calm dude, but he’s also a bit uncertain about the tiny new arrivals and when all three Poms are around at once, they can overwhelm him pretty quickly with their loud barks & their puppy energy.🤔🐶🗣️🤨🙉😅

🎯 Our goal is for all four able to live together in harmony, starting with small, brief, individual introductions at a safe distance, with plenty of tasty treats, praise, and reassurance on both sides. 🥓🧀🥩👏🏻🫂🤎

We had our second session with Retti this week, and she and her owner did really well. 🙂👏😊

We’re setting her up for success from the very beginning, starting with the basics to build a solid foundation. 🪜🧱

This time, we stayed inside for the most part and only ventured beyond the garden briefly to practise and increase the challenge. 📈
It was hot outside for a walk (23–24°C),☀️🌡️ so we focused more on engagement and building value around Retti’s owner — which is key if we want our dogs to focus on us when out and about. 🗣️👀🦮

They both smashed it! We can already see some nice improvements compared to our first session. 😊✅

They’ve been putting in the work during their free time, which isn’t easy to do daily — but it’s essential if we want our dogs to make progress, regardless of what’s challenging for them at the moment. 🦮🪜🎯

Behaviour change doesn’t happen overnight. It takes practice, patience, consistency, and commitment. 📈🧩⏳

With the right mindset and a kind, ethical approach, nothing can stand in the way of success. 🏁🏆🙂

Happy Easter, Everyone! 🌷🐰

Meet Retti, a lovely 1.5-year-old Jack Russell–Bichon (yes, really!) girl. 🥰
She’s a friendly, gentle pup who’s very well behaved inside the house, listens to her owner, and has no issues whatsoever. 🤎

The struggle starts outside during walks, where Retti can get very excited, pulling on the lead with little engagement towards the person walking her. 🗣️🙈

We’re at the beginning of her loose lead walking journey.
Right now, we’re focusing on building engagement indoors and in the garden, practising calm walking by her owner’s side-both with and without a lead and working on door protocol too.
The plan is to gradually move farther from the house for short walks, then longer ones, once she becomes more focused, calm, and the lead stays loose. 🤞🦮✅

With the right motivation, clear communication, patience, and consistency, Retti and her guardian will get there soon.
It’s important to move at the dog’s individual pace, avoid overwhelming them too soon, and reward every little step they take towards the end goal. 🎉🏆💪🐾
