I'm so pleased with how this hibiscus trionum display has turned out, the recent UK temperatures certainly made this part of the commission hard work at times 🥵
It's all for a very important project so well worth the effort 🤩

All of the stainless steel and mild steel sheets used for this sculpture are recycled materials, purchased from BMW Mini, Plant Swindon.
The iridescent glass pieces are leftover offcuts which were purchased at a local craft fair, these were then individually cut and shaped to fit the hibiscus flower centers.

Hibiscus trionum with a blue iridescent glass center.

Honu the sea turtle.
I finished making her today and I'm really happy with this one.
Sad to say we only get to enjoy her for a short time before she gets delivered to the .

Honu has been made entirely from marine grade stainless steel, the seaweeds are patinated mild steel, all set on a burnt and varnished false acacia wood plinth.

I'm very proud to have been asked to design and build a number of sculptures for The Blue Halo garden.

I'm in the early stages of making a number of large stainless steel and glass hibiscus flowers, followed by a selection of pollinating insects 🐝🦋🏵️

The team behind this garden will be exhibiting the finished piece at this year's RHS Badminton flower show in early July.
