9 years ago, I joined Stan's Pals as a part-time dog walker… and the rest is history! 🥹🫶🏼
Back then, life looked so different. I had planned to go to university, but with my health declining, those dreams were put on hold. I felt so lost and unsure of what my future would look like.
Then I found Stan's Pals — just a couple of hours a week, walking dogs and spending time with animals. I never could have imagined how much it would change my life.
Since then, there have been adventures, beach days, Crufts, dog training, trade shows, dog grooming, canine massage, cat grooming, courses, and so many lessons learned along the way. There have been galas, rescues, cat cuddles (despite my allergies!), fundraisers, laughter, heartache, injuries, redundancy, snow days, heatwaves — and everything in between 🤘🏼❤️
I’ve been blessed to work alongside amazing people, care for the most wonderful pets, and be welcomed into so many lovely families’ lives. Through every high and low, this community has been my constant and my greatest teacher.
To go from a couple of hours a week to now owning the business is something I still can’t quite believe. My heart is overflowing with gratitude — for the dogs, the cats, Tina and Ged for taking a chance on Kote's strange friend from sixth form, the reptiles, the people, and every single moment that’s shaped this journey. ❤️🐾
