This handsome boy is 4yrs old today, poor Buddy has been through the mill a bit lately & had to have a hip dysplasia operation, thankfully he is doing brilliantly & I was able to take him out for a 20 minute walk/sniff about then we sat in the sunshine & watched the world go by.
I’ve missed this little man 🩵🤗
Happy birthday Buddy 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Update on “poisoned” dog

⚠️ Incident Update – Box Wood, Stevenage ⚠️

At approximately 17:15hrs today (07/04/2026), we were called to reports of a dog that was critically unwell after possibly ingesting something whilst in Box Wood, near Neptune Gate.

Officers from the Rural Operational Support Team (ROST) and Stevenage Response attended and conducted a search of the area. No obvious hazardous substances were located; however, it is possible the dog may have ingested a naturally occurring irritant or fungi. Our enquiries are ongoing.

Sadly, we have since been contacted by the owner and informed that the dog has passed away. Our thoughts are with the owner at this difficult time.

At this early stage, there is no evidence to suggest any intentional act, however we would urge members of the public, particularly dog walkers, to exercise caution in the area.

If you walk your dog in this area, please:
• Keep dogs on a lead
• Do not allow them to eat or sniff unknown items
• Monitor for signs of poisoning (vomiting, drooling, lethargy, seizures)
• Seek immediate veterinary advice if you have any concerns

If anyone has information that may assist our enquiries, please contact us quoting reference number HC‑07042026‑0562.

Thank you for your cooperation and please share this post to help keep other pets safe.

Please be careful if you walk in these woods.
Just to reassure you all this is not somewhere I walk.
Hopefully someone can identify what it is and remove it.
