Mighty fine day for the bees. This hive has doubled in size over the last three weeks and will now need to be transferred to a bigger hive or split. Decisions decisions.....

I've signed the petition calling on Environment Minister Michael Gove to stand up for our bees and support the permanent ban on bee killing pesticides. Will you add your name?

RIP Queen from Hive #1, After several horrendous inspections over the last month and unable to safely spot the queen, today was at last my victory. She was very prolific, laying with beautiful uniform and full pattern across her 14x12 frames but her hive is off the scale when in comes down to bad temperament and pain endured. Hopefully, it will be safe to return and finish my inspections of the remaining two hives tomorrow once they calm down and my swollen hands subside.
