Andy the Vet & Friends is one today!!

We made it!

Hard to believe that a year ago we were still painting walls and putting up ceiling tiles ready to open our doors and treat our first patients!

A massive and heartfelt thank you to everyone who gave words of encouragement, offered support and of course to you for entrusting the care of your most precious companions to ATV!

None of this would have been possible without the dedication, passion, loyalty and hard work of THE most incredible team of friends who have brought the vision of ‘pet care with a personal touch’ to life. Hard to put into words how grateful I will forever be!!

Here’s to the pets we’ve helped, the relationships we have built and here’s to many more years to come!

Gibson visited us recently to have his Crown Jewels removed 🥴 As you can see he told us exactly what he thought!! He has gone on to make a perfect recovery 💙🐾

Great news 🎉 Our vet family is growing! Introducing VET and newest member of the Andy the Vet team- Lynsey!

We are delighted to announce that Lynsey Langmead (nee Mace) will be joining our team next week.

Many of you will recognize Lynsey who has worked locally for over 10 years after she qualified more than 13 years ago. Lynsey absolutely loves being a vet, enjoys the variety every day offers and thrives on the opportunity to build close relationships with both clients and their companions alike.

Having worked with Lynsey for many years we know she brings both vast experience and knowledge as well as empathy and compassion in abundance. We really can’t wait to have her on board!

We have had a stray ferret handed in to us today. Found at the top of Chantry Lane.

Please let us know if anyone is missing this very friendly little boy. He’s exhausted with a touch of heat stroke but in safe hands for now.

Hard to believe that this time last year, after months of planning, we were just beginning the process of converting our new home in Robell way into a veterinary practice! Time has flown by and the rest as they say is history.

Our aim was always to create a warm and inviting environment that would put even the most anxious of patients at ease- the sofa in reception has certainly gone down well!

Seven months after opening our doors for the very first time building work is now complete (minus a few finishing touches!) with all our facilities from operating theatre to laboratory, dental suite and everything in between up and running.

It has been so good to see so many faces from the past and to meet many of you for the first time too. We have been overwhelmed by your support and are truly humbled that in such a short space of time so many of you have chosen to entrust the care of your precious companions to us! Thank you!

That’s all folks!! We are now all heading off to be with our families for Christmas.

As a team we want to say a huge thank you for all your support since we opened in August. It has been lovely reconnecting with all your pets and meeting new friends at the surgery.

We will be open again Friday 8.30-6.30 and Saturday 8.30-12 noon.

In between times please call out of hours and don’t forget we have Vidivet should you need advice. All contact information can be found on our website.

🐾We as a team would like to extend a huge ‘Thank you’ to Andy.

Not only did he treat us all to a fun night out on Friday but he has kindly gifted us these portraits of our own pets as a Christmas present.

We are all so proud to have been on the journey with Andy so far and are loving being a part of Andy the vet.

Andy’s dedication and care isn’t just for the animals, it’s for his staff too. Thank you Andy 💙
