Bread and cake orders resume from Friday 9th Jan. We have had to increase some of our cake prices because of the cost of ingredients- please see price list below. All ordering details are on this list. Bread prices remain as usual.

No profile this week but we are pleased to announce that we raised £414.00 at our Christmas fair - thanks to members and staff for all their hard work.

This week’s profile is of MH. M is a shining light in our Mowability micro-enterprise, working every week with Justin on our parish and private contracts. He can be trusted to use all the equipment and his stamina has improved a great deal over the last year or so. M enjoys a wide range of activities at Stepping Out, including vehicle maintenance, cleaning the Parish Hall in Bawdrip, and delivering our bread on a Friday. He has a keen interest in music, taking part every week in our handchimes group and enjoying the community music group Sounds Joyful. M is one of our most sociable members: he loves talking to people, helping out at events and taking part in our social events outside Stepping Out hours.

This week’s profile is of CS. C particularly enjoys working in the kitchen and doing craft work. She makes scones and cakes for our cafe and delivery service and works as a waiter in our weekly cafe. In addition C does voluntary work once a week at the Purplespoon Cafe in Highbridge. She loves sewing and is busy making things for our Christmas fair. C is a star at the gym and swimming pool, where she shows stamina and great reflexes and coordination.

This week’s profile is of HB. H was one of Stepping Out’s first three members. She has made tremendous progress with her spoken and written communication over the last four years and always throws herself into every activity with enthusiasm and concentration. She can be found volunteering with the alpacas, working out at the gym and swimming lengths at the pool, crafting with great attention to detail, playing in our hand chimes group, shopping, working in a charity shop and making cakes. H loves music and dancing and her smile lights up the room!
