Cavies and bunnies, not cats but a Dundee based rescue with 46 needing homes.

Once again we're bursting at the seams 😭
In the last week we have had to build extra spaces to accomodate demand. We also still have 10+ animals on the waiting list.

So we're whatever comes after 'full'.

Rescues have two types of 'full'.

The first is when a big surrender arrives and new animals fill all the spaces while they wait for accessments, vaccines, neutering, recovering from surgery etc. While this is heartbreaking, its simply part of the rescue cycle. While it's sad seeing them wait, its a stepping stone.

The second type of 'full' is worse.
The second type is when those enclosures are filled with 'Available for Adoption' animals. Beautiful healthy neutered vaccinated bonded animals just waiting for homes.
Animals who have waited. Waited for the funds for their treatment. Waited for a suitable partner for companionship. Waited to recover post op.
But they're still waiting. And thats a million times harder than the first type of full.

And right now, we're the second type of full.

We have 46 animals waiting for homes.
46 healthy animals living very basic lives in the rescue.

So we're having another Adoption Week.

We will be posting every animal we have available over the coming week.

We're asking everyone
📍to considering adding to their family.
📍to share our posts.
📍to shout as loud as you can about small animal welfare.

We're asking you to help. Because we're at a dead end. We cannot help any more animals until we find homes for those already in our care.
